I hopefully will eventually be able to keep my own running list on this post; however, some unprecedented health issues have made things a challenge. Thanks all!
Howdy, all! Never too early to start keeping a running list over here in GTP land!
All discussion about the car list is appropriate here including speculation, but I'd like to keep full-on wishlisting to the wishlist thread. Please let me know of anything I could do to improve readability, or if there's anything I've missed. Thanks!
LEGEND: (NEW) = NEW TO FORZA /// (NTM) = NEW TO MOTORSPORT /// (360) = 360-era model, not seen in Xbox One era (FM5-FH5)

-2013 Donkervoort D8 GTO (seen in 23 July 2020 Trailer on a wall poster)
-1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO (seen in 23 July 2020 trailer, but posting here because of licensing issues
-Unknown Racing Truck (seen in 23 July 2020 trailer, looks like a MAN truck but is missing a logo)
A while ago a couple screenshots from an alpha build of the game leaked on Reddit. In particular, one seemed to depict the game's garage area.
While the leaker claimed this screens to be proof the game was going to be a cross-gen title, and this puts some doubts on the leak's credibility, I'd add the 2014 BTCC Ford Focus ST and 2018 McLaren 720 GT3 that appear in this screen in the gray area of cars that may or may not come to Forza Motorsport.

Oh, I think at this point it's as good as confirmed that FM will only come out on the Series - they may have tested it on old hardware just to see if it worked, or it may be a lie that the game was running on an Xbox One.

If the initial testing started last July then not many people will have had Series consoles. Also, I doubt it will have been the game itself being tested, more like online aspects or whatever, that's usually the main reason to get regular Joe's involved early on.
None of the marketing, from 2020 or the most recent showcase, has shown any evidence of the game launching on previous gen, if the game and engine have been built ground up for the new hardware, then it is even less likely.

I had forgotten about this "leak," so thanks for bringing it back up! These two cars are extremely plausible so I would not be surprised if they made it to the game.
Can't wait for FM8
Any chance at launch we could have a total price list? Similar to what got done for GT7? Currently playing FM7 and trying to work out how much I need to buy every car lol.
The T10, it seems, is very focused on the Japanese market (especially the drift culture), perhaps an attack on the main Gran Turismo market.
It will feature a fictional circuit of the incredible Hakone Turnpike. And he must have in his hat, for the future, the return of the Fujimi Kaido circuit.

I like the NTM tag but I would also like to see a NFH tag (New From Horizon). It’s been so long ago I played FM7 that I’m honestly more hyped about a car that was in FM7 but not in FH4&5, than that I’m hyped about a car that is also in FH5 but was never in FMx before.

Based on how things sound, those cars are likely to appear as DLC or in-game rewards after launch.

Did they not know what cars are coming into the game at launch?
How is it that they lose half the massive library from FM7? (FM7 had 800+ while FM has only 400 returnees)
How is it that they have only 100 new to motorsport cars? (FH4 went from 450 to 750, FH5 went from 520 to 690 with plenty of new for Forza cars)
How is it that out of only 14 NEW cars, 6 are now suddenly removed?
How is it that a game announced back in 2020, revealed again in 2022 and for a third time in 2023 (launch year apparently) have this little info about it?
How did they go from reveal to launch in 4 months for each of the 7 installments in 12 years, to reveal to launch being 3+ years and counting?
How is it that none of the GAMEPLAY is showcased or discussed for a simcade GAME that is launching on GAMEPASS?
Did they lose the marketing department too along with 400+ cars and 15 tracks? Or is it just licensing again?

Ppotentially could be argued that the wec license may affect it but none of these cars are new, plus wec license shouldn't affect the Dpi (IMSA), R8 LMS (has been replaced, and has appeared in other games) and the 935 (specialty Porsche, unrelated to any racing series).
