I don't mind Snow's death so much as I mind the horrible excecution of it. You have a guy who is consistantly reminding himself and his buddies how half the poeple in Castle Black wants to see him dead. Yet he is somehow stupid enough to walk right into the most obvious trap ever conceived. Add to that, that there's a real chance that he'll be revived, it's just yet another annoying cliff hanger. Guess I have to wait a year to find out...
And what exactly is Sir Alistair's plan? He thinks he can get away with this without further mutiny? What is he going to do about the Wildlings? Him taking action while they were at the other side of the wall, would've made more sense.
Stannis was build up to be a brilliant commander in tthe art of war, yet this entire season has shown him as anything but. How does 20 men sneak into his camp and burn all their food? How did they even know where the food was in this rather large camp? How does he not notice half his army leaving during the night? No one thought to tell him? And did he honestly not expect any backlash from his army for burning a little girl alive? And what exactly is his game plan, 'cause he seems to only be planning one or two moves ahead. What does he do if he manages to capture Winterfell? The other banners might very well unite under his banner, but they're not going anywhere anytime soon, due to the winter being imminent. He puts too much faith into a religion doing all his work for him, and it bites him in the ass.
And cutting away from the battle, and then cutting away before Brienne (supposedly) killing him, isn't particular conclusive. You're going to spend the majority of a season building this up, only to end it in the span of 3 minutes? Wow... So is he now dead? Guess I have to wait a year to find out...
Ellaria's revenge was among the most retarded elements of the show. This lady has activily attempted to kill this girl, and you're letting her touch her? Really? How stupid can someone possibly be? And yet another cliffhanger, where we're left to wonder what Jaime will do next. Not very conclusive, but adds to how stupid that entire story arc has been.
Hollywood moment of Drogon showing up for some reason, right as he's needed. Oh yeah, sure Daenarys, get up on his back. Leave the people who were just fighting to keep you alive. Do you have any idea where he'll take you? No? Ohh, well I'm sure you'll be just fine. Ups... Idiotic move by a character who has done very little this season. She primarily just does what others tell her to do. Not the worst in terms of being a cliffhanger, as we have a good sense of how her story arc continues. (Tyrion rules in her place, her two lover boys are searching for her, and she'll be held captive)
Cersie's ending was fine, although very ungratifying having spend an entire season hinting at the mountain's return, and then not having him do anything in the end. Also, I guess Margaery and Loras weren't important enough to mention in the last few episodes. Guess I have to wait another year to see what happens to them.
Sansa's escape? Or was it suicide. Guess I have to wait another year to find out. All they had to do was show them either surviving the jump (on account of the fresh snow powder softening the fall), or dying. That's it. That leaves enough for it to remaing open, but without it being a cheap do they/don't they ending.
I'd bring up Arya's storyline too, but it's so boring that I can't be bothered.
