I don’t need to argue that, it doesn’t matter because I don’t personally care. I play or have played as many racing games as I can.

The flaw is trying to pick one, as they are all pretty good. Some more realistic others more accessible with a diverse car range.

The physics are wildly different between the games as well.

It seems to me you can’t definitively prove GT7 is the best? (I’d argue that GT5 was the pinnacle just for tracks and tech convergence.

I’d argue as a competitive racing game iRacing is the better platform when 3 of the top formula one racers race their… so when you talk about proving or best what you got in rebuttal?
Best graphics and sound in any racing game ever. Best car roster ever seen in a racing game ever. Best career mode in GT history. Best GT game in terms of AI. Scapes. Paddocks.

Isn't that enough for you...?

Man, I can't stop looking at the Integrale. It's been a long time since I've been looking forward to a car update.

It’s not any of those things.

Firstly it is not the best racing game ever, this is subjective but arguably it’s not. Considering that the majority of the races are start at the back weave through the pack.

Sound is pretty hit and miss, in the garage very good, in single player there is the variety. In sports mode meh.

Car roster is an interesting one….having loads because you can doesn’t mean you should.

Loads of cars don’t mean loads of fun if you have no reason to use them, even just for fun.

This is the worst career mode in a GT game ever, the structure is a weird fragmented Pokémon thing with no real progress or feeling of achievement.

“Scapes and paddock”

I’m an older gamer so these things are not compelling to me, I want to race in the hobby I’ve invested in.

You don’t have to defend this game, we are all hear because we like it, but it’s not perfect and it could definitely do with some improvements.

Astounds me that PD thinks that the sort of people who play a racing game are the sort of people who will want to drive SUVs and Crossovers in said racing game
I do for moments like these:

For me it’s extremely fun to put unusual cars in places you wouldn’t expect them or otherwise wouldn’t ever be, i.e. a pickup truck racing a Supra and an F40 at Le Mans.

The problem comes when you have cars being added where you can do very little to them beyond their stock form, which luckily it looks like the Peugeot escapes with it having an actual transmission. I would 100% get one of those and start fine tuning it on sports tires to beat some event it has no business competing, just as I did with the Beetle in the Schwartzwald Leagues (before easy engine swaps were around).

We're living the era of the best racing game ever made and you're "uneducated" about not only car culture in general, but motorsport too. Don't mean it in an offensive way, but really you shouldn't complain about GT7.
GT7 is maybe the best Gran Turismo game ever made, but that’s my opinion. It’s the best driving/feeling Gran Turismo game physics wise and its sound is much better than previous versions. It also has an awesome livery editor. That’s about where it ends. Previous Gran Turismo games were rubbish in how the cars handled and sounded. They were still fun, I played them, but in that department, they’ve never been great.

It’s hardly the best racing game ever made.

Heat wave sure is making everyone testy! 🤣

I want more pavement like everyone else, but if we get anymore at all, I don't think it will be until a future farewell update.

Glad we have a couple more two-wheel drive road cars. Hope the 2008 can be slammed like the other CUVs. Should be a bit of good low cost touring car style fun.

I wasn't too enthused about this update but I think SUV can be useful since it's a gas engine. The BX looks intriguing and race cars are always good. TBH I am with the people who prefer road cars that you turn into race cars. Don't get me wrong I love official cars but making my own race cars. I used to love the RM modifications in GT1 & GT2. GT7 comes close but they need to at least add race fuel tanks for a proper race modification. Anyway looking forward to trying out the new cars and seeing what engine swaps will be available

I was with you right up until this. The Ionic is a BAD example. It's actually quite powerful, and perfectly competitive. Something tells me you haven't actually driven it or at least haven't given it a fair test. I mean, it has a lot of the same issues all EV's have, in that you can't really tune it (much) and being an EV it has no gears. So, it's not the most gratifying in that way, but what exactly are you expecting? It's plenty fast and can easily fly around Sardegna, or the like.

A better example would have been the Toyota C-HR. Just sayin'
Oh, I've used it. I like tuning but I don't like banging my head against a wall to give purpose to something with no soul. If you like it, all good. Some people like the Tesla's as well.

I don't like the Teslas but I can recognize their place in history.
