I just noticed a quite annoying bug. I play on ps5 pro with RT ON and pssr ON. I am driving the 2008 at wilow spring event and for some reason starting from lap 2, the 2 mirrors start to become blurry when until lap one they ar perfectly clear. I need to try with other cars or combo. I do not know if it everywhere or just with the 2008 or at willow spring. Here the picture:
I'm pretty sure that's just dust/sand, because Willow Springs is sandy.

I got a little carried away while making replica liveries for the Lancia:

I am on PS4 and this update is currently at 1hr 45mins and only just over half way, it is wired direct to the router so not a Wifi issue.

Anyone else had an issue with it?

I haven't been on GT7 for 3 weeks and this is not a good way to come back to it 😔

Call me mad, but I actually like the Peugeot. Give it a tune (240 BHP) with Anti-lag and semi-racing silencer (better than racing, IMO), and Weight Reduction Stage 1, and the cars feels (and sounds) great.

Then again, I enjoy driving a stock Prius in GT7... maybe I am crazy. :boggled:
To be fair, Gran Turismo's slogan is "The Real Driving Simulator", whilst the Crossover/SUV craze is a joke and the novelty has worn off severely, how many other titles can you name that have real world everyday cars amongst the latest hypercars and racing icons, not a lot

If it's trying to pull more than 1.06GB, cancel it, restart the console and try again.

Thanks for the reply, I did already try this earlier but still the same.

It has just finished right now, I've never had an issue with updates before

Incidentally I did get 1 million for completing the Merc ticket - but I already had the merc.

I’m only 3 cars short of them all (don’t talk to me about the Porsche book)
I talk about economics all the time on my TikTok and Youtube and it PAINS me that we have to burn credits on these legendary cars. Their real world value comes from their trading value , which doesn't exist in the game. So, it's just an expenditure with very little return on your investment.

If I wanted to do a 1950's F! series using the Merc, it would cost me almost 30% of all my credits to date.

I have spent 578,027,439 credits on cars, upgrades, and customization and I have about 4,500,000 credits atm. The Merc is 20,000,000 and you need a minimum of 10 to do a full field (with two car teams) which is 200,000,000

I had one, and sold it to fund other things that were more engaging. I REALLY hope they get rid of this "feature"

I may have to eat my words. I actually liked the 2008. I tuned it a little up to 180hp, had a few races and it was fun. Then i did an 2008 GTI, including an livery, weight reduction, special tune and 240hp. Nice car. Didnt test the lancia, but i will soon. The citroen didnt spark any feelings on me, ok car. 6,5/10 update. Irrelevant events and swaps. I definelitely would have loved more an post restyling 2008 II. Like the MY25. Looks way better imo.

Yes, SUPER disappointing. I was looking forward to putting together a custom Sophy race with the Carry. I did a normal custom race, but playing with the normal custom races is like punching yourself in the face (painful, unproductive, and no fun whatsoever).

Here's my quick update review:

All in all, a VERY disappointing update. I normally dislike the extra menus and this update brings a perfect example of why I hate them. You have to spend over 20mil credits to get the cars, and the reward for doing so is a ticket where, if you're lucky, you might get 1 million credits back. This reminds me of the painfully bad decision of making credit burn the central focus of the game's player progression. 👎

The Citroen - It's cheap so it gets a pass. 👍

The Lancia - This could have been GT Auto additions to the Lancia we already have. But, again, not that bad in terms of credit burn and it drives ok. Might be worthwhile doing a custom race when (if) it gets Sophy support. 👍

The 2008 - Well...I think my feelings are already clear on this. Of all the possible Peugeot (just Peugeot) additions, this is the worst possible choice they could have made. the 3008 was car of the year. They have an e-208. They have (fill in this space with anything that is not the 2008). This addition is more salt in the SUV wound. Can we stop now? PLEASE? 👎👎 (it's doubly bad)

Alsace get Sophy - Another questionable choice. Daytona? Fuji? The Nurb GP layout? Kyoto? GOODWOOD???? It's a bad choice given the options. And, remember, the PS4 folks don't have Sophy at all👎

Speaking of Sophy, the aforementioned lack of additional cars that can be used by Sophy. I have said this countless times, custom Sophy races are currently the best feature in this game, despite the effort to build and balance a race. Not adding ONE car is weak (even though they added Alsace)👎

Given the impact of recent updates, this update will be memorable for it's disappointment. So, I give it a -5 out of 10
Honestly I don't think very highly of Sophy at all. Barely better than the "regular" game AI. Is it asking too much for the AI to recognize BLUE FLAGS? That aside, I agree that the update is junk.

"The Real Driving Simulator" where you can only drive cars on a race track, where laps are counted, positions are displayed, and time is kept.

This is a racing game. In order to race [cars], one must drive. To say it's a driving simulator where the game is set up for racing, is just painting the slogan with a broad brush, IMO.

Probably that awful "copying" thing on PS4 that often takes longer than downloading the update itself...

Oh, you have to build a custom race. Go on over to the custom race thread. I'm there all the time. The only way I'm getting far enough ahead of Sophy to see blue flags is if I'm grossly out of balance.

Properly balanced, Sophy is a formidable challenge. Proper balance is the catch.

I have a combo race of Group C cars with Cars from that period built up to GR3 spec, fun fun, but like I said, it's a lot of work to balance it all out.

Wow, great amount of effort made for those stunning liveries. Perfect as a screenshot for the 1.60 Update. It could give someone a heads up for part of what's included in the update. Great work!

@wagnerFAM98 uhhh yeah, I see what PD did there, strange...but it's part of the update.

After spending weeks grinding La Sarthe for the McLaren F1, I have absolutely no interest in grinding it again for another menu book completion.

PD need to balance the economy.
I'd like to update on this comment, as I just found the quickest way to earn millions in credits, so much so that I've already completed the new menu...

What you need to do is understand that Kaz believes GT7 is a reflection of car culture, and if there is any one thing that car collector content creators show online, it's that being a car collector is all about driving a car for a few months and flipping it, so I sold every car I could from my collection, taking myself from just above 9 million to just under 90 million!

So the menu book is complete. I only have cars that I couldn't sell (Unimog is now gone), but I completely understand how much this game is about true car culture! Sell everything, people! That is what enthusiasts do!

Also, the 6 star gave me half a mill in credits.

Fully agree, And even the interior is very badly done. They didnt even go through the effort to make a static picture for the cental console, and I although I've driven an e2008 when my e208 was in for maintainance (so I might be wrong) the driver displays are very wrong also. And why did they make one that has the drivers seat on the opposite side of the origin country? Superweird, doesn't seem like this one is made by PD itself

This feels like a sneer to Mat Watson :P

Very good strategy, and also even if you have 500 cars in the game, if you drive mostly 350 of them, then the 150 other cars you use less of, you can sell for several million credits to buy even more merchandise in the game. Just saying...

Any strategy or method is possible for earning large amounts of money in the game. Congratz on finishing the menu books.

Wait... do we want race cars, or do we not want race cars?
Me? I don't. All I need is the flexibility to convert a car.

The Lancia that's already in the game could have been outfitted to be a race car already, although not officially a GR B car

Ya, I know, some people want to have the latest hypercar. I get it, but I don't care. IMHO, almost everything can be a race car of some sort.

Weird...has anyone else tried re-rolling all of their tickets after the update? All of mine returned the exact same reward. Normally, the monetary prizes remain the same, but engine and car rewards will change.

Here’s a cool one. Three BX 16V raced at Bathurst and one of them won its class in the 1992 Bathurst 12H! Finishing 8th overall behind much faster cars!

I haven't actually checked this or even thought about it 🤔

I don't have many games at all on there and it has a 2TB HSSD in it, I don't think I would be near full, even with only a few screen recordings and screenshots, but will check it out later as it may help for the next updated 👍🏻

PD do scans of actual cars typically. My sister has this car (UK, RHD) and it looks pretty spot on to me.

The Citroen BX is a funny car because it looks like something from an '80s sci-fi flick depicting life in the future. It's not fast by any means but it's fun and quirky like a lot of French cars. This is the sort of vehicle that you can't help but love because of it's distinct character. The Frenchies definitely have a unique take on motoring and the BX is a great example.
