It's no secret that politically China and Japan (and the West generally) don't see eye to eye with each other. My personal opinion is that this wasn't BYD's decision but someone high up that felt that having a Chinese car as the fastest in Gran Turismo would have been like sticking a middle finger up at so many decades of European, American and Japanese automotive expertise. I have no proof, just sayin'.

That's already debunked, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra that's already in the game is easily the fastest four-door saloon car/EV in the game by long shot.

And despite this, I'd still love to have a 993 Turbo/Turbo S alongside the 964 Turbo S and the 993 Carrera RS.

And a Skyline GTS-T (both R32 and R33).

And an M3 CSL (E46).

And a 458 Speciale.

An underrated part of the Twingo is the absolute fever dream that is the seat pattern. Someone at PD had fun modelling that.

Hopefully support for PSSR2 is in the update.

The game already supports updated PSSR if the toggle is on in the system settings.

PD could do a specific update to tweak the graphics (lower the internal resolution and divert resources to lighting/raytracing) but it may not make a big difference with their engine.

It was an option (or possible regional difference, I don't recall), GT7 has it accurate with the "Turbo S" lettering and crest on the wheel:
