It would work, but will they make it?

I personally hope not, I bought GT PSP and it was nice but I would prefer resources spent on full blown GT's.

+1 👍

If they do, they had better make it a lot more enjoyable to play through than GT on the PSP.

Personally, I would rather they focus on updating GT5 and working on GT6. (Like most other people I expect^)

?I hope they dont just yet as GTPSP to me was a let down, I really hoped for GT on PSP but it was a rubbish arcade racer with collectobal cars. I would like a career. now if PD and Sony release GT1 and 2 on PSN then I would be happy.

If Sony developed it so that PD could work on gt5-6. Like with Uncharted, ND is working on the console one and Sony is developing the vita game.

Just GT PSP for the Vita. GT Vita, the same games, maybe with Ferrari, Lambo and Spa included but thats it.

Almost direct port of GT PSP with 8 cars on a track and some form of A spec would keep me happy.

Of course they will make GT Vita. A new next gen handheld from Sony and you don't think one of their biggest most lucrative game franchises will come out on it?
I think it's probably been in development for over a year, maybe more. Sony won't just ask PD to get on board a few months before launch. They, like everyone else, have roadmaps for CPU's, GPU's etc etc. They roll these business plans out LONG before we get E3 teasers.

I really hope so. Personally I think they did a god job with GT:PSP. As somebody said above if they released that with 8 cars on track instead of 4 I would be more than happy.

Kaz said that scaling GT5 Prologue down to the PSP was difficult.

Uncharted on the PSV.
MGS Rising on the PSV.

I already know that the PSV is easy to port games to and an f-load simpler to program for. I'm pretty sure most of you don't know any of that besides Uncharted on the Vita.

You do know.

For a portable GT game, GT PSP did what it had to do. Imagine what Vita will do for GT.

I want to hook it atop my 37" TV for it to act as the rear view mirror in GT5.

Why? Isn't the existing mirror on the screen good enough already?

GT Vita = Profitable = Lots of money

Lots of money = Greed = Sony

Of course they'll make it.

A powerful handheld like the Vita needs a game like Gran Turismo to push it's capabilities.

In fact, I would not doubt that PD has the development kits already.

The most Polyphony would do is just recycle material from both GT4 and GT5 and throw it on the Vita just like the last version. It's not a bad idea since I enjoyed GT PSP, but I would not expect anything TOO exciting from a portable Gran Turismo.

I'd rather they spent all their resources on GT6 rather than a handheld game that will be forgotten after a year or so.

I'm getting a Vita and would love a GT on it, but I would rather they just carried on updating GT5. Maybe a dedicated BSpec App for the Vita would be nice, where you log in with your PSN but it doesn't need the PS3 to be on to run BSpec races.

IMO is more than obvious that will see a Vita GT.
Vita is powerful and especially with the new feature that you can transfer your PS3 game save to Vita and continue your game on the road, is more than obvious that we'll get a Vita GT.

they will make one, they only have to create en user internface and things like that, they can ''convert'' cars and tracks because the vita is almost as powerfull....

I hope they don't make one, I wouldn't play or buy it, Much rather stick with a proper console.

You hope they don't make one because you wouldn't play or buy it? What about the people who would like GT Vita?

I assume you didn't intend that to sound so selfish but that's how it came across. GT Vita would be a beautiful thing particularly if there was a form of progress carryover between Vita and PS3 such as endurance race saves.

No I didn't mean it in a selfish way just thinking perhaps more people will have a PS3 than a VITA and why waste money and resources on that when they have a game out that still after nearly a year needs so much repairing done to it.

+1. Mentioning Vita and GT in the same sentence :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I love the new hand held, but another distraction for improving a once great franchise is something PD does NOT need.

I would prefer if they didn't put their efforts towards a Vita GT, though I'm sure Sony wants one.

What I wouldn't mind though is maybe a Vita expansion/update for Vita. GT PSP is going to work fine on Vita (downloadable version), I already bought it for my PSP Go. And as I recall GT PSP was the game that was used as an example in some Vita video put out by Sony when some guy talked about Vita making PSP games a bit better looking. And they also said in that same video/interview (whatever it was, this was on the blog right after Vita was announced), that some PSP games were going to get updates to take advantage of the Vita's hardware and functionality.

So the update/expansion for GTPSP idea isn't really out of the realm of possibility. And that wouldn't take MUCH man-power from the PD side, and would keep Sony happy about having a GT for Vita.

Not sure if you guys are aware but proof of UMD ownership through Sony's Passport program should allow GTPSP to work on Vita.

Still haven't seen it confirmed however.

I think it has been confirmed that every downloadable PSP game will work on Vita. PS1 games as well. The thing with the UMD program they're going to be doing is that it really only applies to games that actually have downloadable versions. Bad news for KHBBS fans, and Crisis Core fans. But as for GTPSP, you'll be all set.

I already have the downloadable version (actually all my psp games are digital now). Got it for my PSP Go when it dropped to $20. So when/IF I get a Vita, I'll be all set.
