Gran Turismo World Tour is happening

I wonder where the World Tour would take place for the North America and Asia/Oceania region? Maybe for North America it could be somewhere at Daytona or Indianapolis, or even Las Vegas (where all the fancy esports competitions usually take place), and for the Asia/Oceania region it would definitely be somewhere in Japan (Gran Turismo HQ perhaps, or somewhere near the racing tracks).

From what I am seeing so far they are commentating on things we cant see, the camera is not focused on the action and replays are not giving for the incidents commentated on. And during important battles the camera would just switch to a lone car and stay there, hopefully they work all that out. One question, is that Jimmy Broadbent I hear commentating? EDIT (It is, nice)

First of all, congrats to everyone who're selected for this insane event. Just a list with very good players, who all deserve it to go. But is it just me or is the selecting procedure just a bit weird? Because I mis a lot of people who're definitely fast enough to go to this event. And for me one of the biggest surprises: where is @TRL LIGHTNING ? If someone in Europe deserves it, it's him for sure.

There are many, many top drivers who didn't receive an invite, @Matty28 being another and yourself.

They've selected the drivers based on DR during a specific day in April.

And they FINALLY seem to be changing the stubborn penalty system! Hope to be back at 75k one day, once I have free time.

I think it’s mainly because no one knew about the event or how people were going to be selected beforehand. So there are probably quite a lot of people who were capable of getting to 75k DR who just didn’t bother (either didn’t bother qualifying or spent more time in lobbies/time trial).

But then I can’t think of a better way of choosing!

If it would of been announced beforehand definitely would have been more to choose from. It’s a shame for some, @TRL LIGHTNING is easily one of the fastest in the game, as well as @ferrari312t regularly see him in the top ten usually at the top but guess doesn’t have as much time as others to race?

But as @CaptainAlan8 says not sure there was a better way unless they ran some form qualifier.

Does that mean we have to wait till June 1st for the announcement, hoped it was going to be this weekend!

Well we all have to accept the fact they didn't exactly pull this through right for now. I now have 2 accounts between 65-70k and a brand new UK on 75k,someone shoot me in the leg now....

After looking at all the facebook photos of the competitors, i'm curious who each of them are. I don't know their names or what they look like (apart from @Tidgney from his videos)

Is there any compiled list of the players by their PSN names? Ill probably recognize most of them that way which will give them a bit more star power if i get a chance to watch the stream at all
