A pleasure, Flerbizky.
What have I got against Ralf?
Mmm..., a difficult one. When he came to F1 with Jordan (too early in my opinion) with a fairly distinguished lesser formulae record - he won at Macau in in F3, and won a Formula Nippin championship - I thought, tough to be Mike's brother, but you look like you'll be okay.
He went through a pretty torid time at Jordan, had some pretty big crashes, but once it was announced he got the seat at Williams he settled down - to the point that team orders at Jordan saw Damon Hill win that day at Spa with Jordan in '98.
He put his head down and got on with it at Williams with the abysmal Supertec engine in '99 (and made Zanardi look like an idiot in the process) and with the BMW deal I thought, well, Ralf, you've done the hard yards, here we go.
So - Jenson gives him a fright in 2000, and since then it's been nothing but prima donna moaning and carrying on - and it's been even worse since Montoya came on board. So Williams favour Juan-Pablo - big deal. As long as they give you the car, just get on with it.
He's turned into this wimpo prima donna - and I hate that in F1 drivers. You can get away with that crap if you're Senna or Prost - Ralf? Not even close. No wonder Frank's rumoured to be after Webber - there's a no-crap guy who just gets on with the busines. I reckon Webber would fit right in at Williams. Maybe Ralf can go back to Jordan if Fisi gets a decent drive - or maybe he could get a gig at Toyota and moan about how Panis is favoured there...
