Maybe so but I really don't like that cars bog down when put under any kind of stress where IRL the tires would spin like a madman.

And I thought Americans are used to that:lol:

I liked GTA IV driving physics a lot. You could drift pretty easily. If you spin everytime when using handbrake, then you are probably holding it for too long. I didn't have that problem very often.

Ah funny joke, too bad it isn't dated :grumpy:

I honestly did not mind the driving in GTA IV. Yes, the cars had both dramatically heavy weight at the same time that they were light as a feather. I don't find the e-brake to be as horrible as some say. It is a button after all so you can't control how much of the e-brake you use. The brakes will lock up right away, which is what i usually anticipate. I hope they don't add too much driving characteristics from MC:LA, i didn't enjoy the driving on there as much as GTA IV. That's just me though.

I think the handling in IV was fine. Far better than the twitchy insanity that was III and Vice City, and the cars actually have mass to them compared to San Andreas (where everything just seemed to slide in response to everything and spaz out in accidents). Handbrake was really hard to use, but once you mastered it you felt like a real stuntman from a 70's cop show.

GTA is not about driving cars and realistic, but shooting and running.

So the series was always called "Grand Theft Adidas," and only now are we being made aware of it?

Considering that 90% of what you are doing in GTA is driving, I think your point is invalid.

Shooting and running, is the most things you do in this game so you must do something wrong. It always had a lot of vehicles but they are only for long distance travel. Like between missions, and if you played a little on-line then driving cars was not the best way to deal with all point score.

So, shooting and running is always main thing to do in GTA, and looks like GTA 5 wasn't going to be any different. They added diving and flying but seems like those new features wouldn't take more time from main course. You still have to kill and run away. And in most cases you walk listening to other pedestrians, observe environment and watch views. You can't do it while driving vehicles. Can you? :sly:

As for realistic feel from cars, i would agree that sports cars should handle different from Trucks and Buses. But it's not really necessary to make hand brake realistic.

I find I spend more time driving:

1. Driving between missions
2. Driving during missions
3. Driving after the story is complete
4. Random driving screwing around and crashing into stuff and blowing up cars

I'm sure I've missed some.

That said, you spend more time driving than it takes to complete a mission. I'll play the game how I want.

GTA is not about driving cars and realistic, but shooting and running. So you have been playing this game wrong way.

You are then probably the only guy who should find even GTA4 map to be too large, because it probably takes a long time to run from one end to the other.

You'll probably get bored with GTAV pretty fast because it takes many times longer to run from one end to the other. Hope you have taken enough time off from other activities just to have enough time to always run around in GTA.

Also, I cruise just to listen to the radio. Sometimes i'll park and enjoy the scenery. Rarely though do i get out of my car and decide to walk everywhere.

Guys USSR is clearly going green and trying to save the virtual planet in GTA by walking/running to all his missions or flagging a taxi down. :sly:

Well, bikes are back so it should help his quest to preserve the GTA universe from fossil fuels burning!

Well, you could always call up everybody's cab company owner for a ride! That is, unless you chose the Deal ending of GTA IV. Not trying to spoil anything here.

Isn't the Dilettante from IV, electric? He could use that.

I'm gonna destroy the environment in GTA regardless. So I'm gonna drive around, shoot my guns, fly my planes/helicopters and blow up cars and planes to pollute Los Santos. :trouble:

I did it since GTA1. :sly:

Yep, it is. Even from the commercials and ads about the GTA Prius, it's a hybrid/EV.

On Rockstar's twitter feed they have retweeted that some 21 year old supermodel called Cara Delevingne will be a DJ in the game, seems like an odd choice. Some other DJs have been retweeted and they give the impression that some sort of embargo has been lifted.

I love the sound of that, we should hold a contest where GTP members compete against each other in driving/flying/shooting events to determine the ranks of a GTP crew. :)

Yeah that's a very good idea, now we just need someone who can make a proper thread for that tough.
