I disagree, I think it should, and will. Every game gets pirated, and GTA IV still sells well on Steam...

True, but whether it does or not is on Rockstar. I'm sure we'll be seeing lots of angry/protesting PC gamers. Public outcry may lead to a PC version...who knows. But still, as of now they said no because of GTA IV pirates.

They've never really mentioned anything about the PC version, only that it won't be released the same time as on consoles. IV came out on PC quite a while after consoles, it wasn't even announced until October 2008, whereas the console version was released in April that year.

That video was halarious.

Also.

Really? I've read interviews and he (Dan Houser) said he would no more commit to the PC than he would the Wii U, and that as of now it's merely "up for consideration". Also some interviews I've read quoting him say that "consoles are the primary focus".

But anyways, do I think there will be a PC version? Yes, eventually.
But as of now, it's more a no then yes, I think. (Then again, I'm really going only off of interviews)
However I'm sure that will change.

We'll see.

@Slashfan
Interesting, did you take that?

Sadly no I didn't, I found it online. Last time I was in the store they only had PS3 and 360 ones up. I didn't pay attention for PC but next time I'm at the store I will look.

I don't know where that came from but it's obviously ********. A DL Blu-Ray is around 46GB usable, a DL DVD is around 8GB usable. 10 discs would mean 80GB, far more than the Blu-Ray the PS3 version will come on and I highly doubt that will fill a full disc either.

That news is from the publishers themselves so I'm not sure what to believe.

haha it obviously wont be 10 discs. Successful rumor spreading troll was almost successful. I could see maybe 2-4 discs max on the 360.

Hopefully they start releasing some more pics and info soon.

Even it was ten discs, Rockstar would probably allow you to download the other discs to the console, if they're smart. But...mutliple discs for an open world game would be annoying. I hope GTAV is announced for the PS4, as well, 'cause I might just save my coins and get it for that.

Change car from Sultan RS to Turismo

"Add disk 2 to jump in the car"

You crash your Turismo

"Add disk 3 to see your damaged car"

You go to the Hollywood sign

"Add disk 4 to see hollywood sign"

......

----------------
You ragequit and throw the disks to the bin.

I'd bet on only one dual-layer Blu Ray-disc, - or a maximum of two (PS3 version). I've read that GTA V should be around 60 GB, but that was before anyone knew about the PC version, so I expect it to be around a maximum of 50 GB (possibly less). And anything below 50GB can be on one dual-layer disc.

The rest should be self-explaining.

Where have you read it should be "around 60GB"? It's not going to be that large, the only game as far as I know that comes close to filling a 50GB disc is MGS4 because of all the uncompressed cutscenes and audio. Most PS3 game fit on a single layer disc and if GTA V gets anywhere near 50GB i'd be amazed. LA Noire didn't and that was filled with huge motion/facial capture data and animations.

I mean if GTA V in this generation was filling or even going over 1 BR disc we're screwed for PS4 since the BR drive in that still only supports 50GB discs as maximum.

I forgot to put in a link, sorry for that. http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/557...60gb-in-size-no-pc-version-because-of-piracy/

I know it's early rumors.
And I also said possibly less than 50GB. I find 50GB a lot, but I guess we'll be near that, in a few years. - But for now, I think V'll be around 25GB (with a maximum of 50GB, as said before. It will surprise me too, if we even get over 35GB), - without knowing of course.

Well to be blunt that link is purely guesswork, they have no basis for it whatsoever. Just like the 10 discs 360 'story'. They managed to compress LA Noire onto 3 DL-DVD, so no more than 24GB total and like I say, that game had tons of facial motion capture data that GTA V will not have.

I would actually prefer GTA5 got bumped to the next console.

Given that they've spent up to 5 years making this game with the current consoles in mind there is no way they're just going to 'bump' it to next gen consoles. It would have to become a completely different game and wouldn't be a five minute job.

Except they might:

When asked if the new release date meant GTAV would be coming to PS4 and Next Box, Take Two reported said "no gamer will be willing to sit out the initial release and wait for something better than the fifth main game in the GTA series."

Sounds to me like the delay was really to release the game on the next gen consoles. Otherwise, PS4 and Next Box owners would have to sit out the initial release. Either that, or he's saying that it doesn't matter what systems it's on, people are still going to play it....which is true. Still a very criptic answer that may or may not confirm GTAV on next-gen consoles.

How did you read that quote completely wrong? He's saying that nobody is going to skip over GTA V on current gen in the hope that it arrives on next-gen, ergo they don't need to release it on next-gen.

I thought I said that in the second to last sentence in the last paragraph. Learn how to read before you complain about what I post.

Yes but you also said "Sounds to me like the delay was really to release the game on the next gen consoles." hence I don't know how you got that out of what he said, even if it's only one option you thought of. It wasn't cryptic, it was pretty clear.

If I remember correctly GTA V will be out in September and the PS4 will be out in "Holiday 2013" so GTA technically speaking would be out before the PS4 even comes out so I doubt it will be on both systems givens the dates we've been provided with. That said we could be delayed even longer in the future.
