A pic from last summer, cant wait for summer to comeback :(

Ive plasti-dipped my wheels last summer, i was not sure how it would end up, but i was pleased by the result, i like how it look now and it doesnt peel off with weather or when i wash them.

before: (its drag radial in front at the drag strip... i did my best time that day vs an E60 M5, and i won!:dopey: )

and thats how it look now with slightly lowered suspension and plasti-dipped wheel

Loving this thread :-).

Guess I'll show everyone my rides. First in the background is my daily driver. A 2007 honda Accord slush box :-(. Bought the car when my daughter was born. The only reason for the auto was so my little one's mother could drive it if need be. Almost 5 years later I realize it was a huge mistake not getting a manual.

The fun car sits in front. It is a 1992 Accord. Put a lot of time and love into her. Currently she is sitting in the garage well into a prepping stage for the role cage. (Which seems to be taking more then a year lol).

Her suspension has been upgraded with For type 1's, soon to be replaced with a custom set of AMR coilovers. ST adjustable sway bar with modified white line end links in the rear. Full energy suspension bushings kit replaced all bushings in the car minus just the rear struts mounting bushing. ( got to get on top of that ). The front brakes were replaced with Acura CL bigger brakes and the rear was replaced with a Prelude Disk swap. ( still trying to find a proper BBK for a CB7 ). Currently running EBC Green Stuff pads with Brembo vented rotors.

The interior is about 95% stripped for the cage going in. Have to remove the remaining wiring harness and the final bits of sound deadening. Before I put her away in the garage in November of 2012 I weighed her with a half tank of gas and myself at a thinner point in life. She weighed in at 2368 lbs.

Now on to the good stuff. Sitting in the engine bay is a 1992 H22 a with a M2B4 transmission with factory LSD. Waiting to be installed is a carbon synchro set. The block is currently getting sleeved because I got ahead of myself in the build and decided the FRM block could handle 8psi. It did for quite sometime. About 23,000 miles, then I decided instead of destroying the piston ringlets I would build the bottom end properly. She is running euro type - S cams. P/s and A/C are deleted. A T3/T4 turbo lays below a ram horn manifold. Looking for a top mount turbo manifold. She puts down a healthy 340 he and 298 Ft./lbs. to the floor. :-).

Sorry for the pics of her dirty. She has not received the attention I know she needs. But 2013 turned out to be extremely busy for me.

The funniest thing though is I am not a fan of white cars. Blows my mind I have two of them lol.

She is a hand full at times but no one really expects a fast 4 door accord that is 22 years old. Thanks for the likes :-)

I loved my old Accord. Sold it with over 300,000 miles on it and saw it around for a few more years. The new ones just don't feel the same.

100% true with the new Accords. The 07 has a lot of grunt from 80 to 100 in v6 form; don't ask. It feels more refined and you can definitely feel all the extra girth it has put on over the years.

To be honest though these two both have been my 1st and 2nd Accords. None of them will ever live up to my old Miata that I miss dearly. I have been thinking about getting another first gen Miata and starting from scratch. It would be a whole new world nodding one over 10 years later from my first.

The CB7 just feels so much better driving and sharper. that is more of a testament to the suspension setup then anything else. Unfortunately the CB7s don't get too much love in the Honda community compared to the CDs and such.

1972 StingRay Coupe. Lots of mods to update old technology. A 383, TKO-600, multi-port EZ-efi, side pipes, suspension mods, brakes…. you name it. However until I get some new tires it's a pig! Not much in the performance market for 15" rims other than drag slicks and all season tires. I gotta get some new and better pics but at least this one has my tag on the plate. Enjoy!

Wow, that is gorgeous

Yah, I absolutely love the body on that car. I'm positive people will disagree but I like that hard top so much better than the soft top fully convertible one! The rear end looks alot nicer in my opinion.

Hey @mike_gt3, dope ride! I have the LSJ!

Currently, today, its getting a new engine (stretched timing chain, much damage :( ), and GMPP clutch, and Fidanza flywheel, as well as a new transmission because I blew reverse and 5th backing out of a parking spot while said engine was blowing up. Also have an intake, ported supercharger, header, larger TB, and Eibach Sportline springs.

Thx @Blackyk ! Nice to see another Balt! sorry for your loss, look like you will get it back with some more power! :)

Yes i am on cobaltss.net with mike_peperni username :), but i rarely visit the forum now, look like i dont have interrest anymore about modding my car further and more in driving cars in Gran Turismo:dopey:, i am satisfied with the current mods, wich are intake, catless downpipe and 22psi tune, and canuck motorsport springs for suspension.

It pull really good and i like how it get underestimated all the time

As i have just found the WRS for GT6, and decided to let everybody else show me up, i thought i might update this part too!

Destroyed the clutch on my old punto, so upgraded to a mk1 Mr2. Absolutely loved driving this around, fantastic car to own, great handling and more than enough go for U.K speed limits plus a little extra when nobody is looking :P I do admit this was a "gap" car ive always wanted an s-body, but insurance (rightly so) were a little uneasy at letting a 19 year old jumping straight into one, so they charged a huge premium which was ultimately unrealistic. After two years of mr2 ownership the time came on to ultimately move on.

Photo from the day i bought it, its sooooooo good. It is quite thirsty though.

Funny story, the name of the team I race with in a Mk1 MR2 is "Clutch on Fire". The first race they ran, one of the drivers rode the clutch and literally started it on fire.

Here's me in a Mk1 MR2 @ Laguna. :)

I never posted my car here for some reason. I don't know why. Anyways, back in the beginning of August, my parents got me my first car, a brand new Chevrolet Sonic! It's fully loaded with heated leather seats, sunroof, satellite radio, bluetooth, and the optional turbocharged engine! :D This was the post I made recently in another thread:

Back when I first got my Chevy Sonic during the summer:

@doodlemonoply , wow you are so fortunate when I was 16 (yes I can still remember that far back and no, the steam engine was not still the only option for automotive propulsion :P ) I think the only thing I had was a pair of rusty roller skates and stick to push myself along with....was damn tough living in a cave too

Nice little motor you have there Andrew 👍

Wow, make sure you hang on to those parents.

My first car was a 1985 Plymouth Reliant. 4 speed, vinyl bench seat, leaked about a quart of oil a day.. Paid $500 bucks for it. Unfortunately, up to this point things haven't improved as much as I would have hoped. :)

@doodlemonoply thats very nice from your parents, you are very lucky! 👍

if you ever want to add anything to it, power wise, since you have the 1.4L turbo try searching for ''trifecta'' tune, thats the company that tuned my car, they sell the cable you can install the tune yourself, i gained 90hp and over 100 lbs of torque just with the tune. :) best thing i bought for my car!

@mike_gt3  if a 16/17 year old did that to their car in this country they'd never be able to get insurance and would then never be able to drive it on public roads :(

Mine still had full interior with buckets and harnesses removed pointless stuff like the jack and spare wheel and it was a hoot to drive, so cant imagine a fully stripped and caged one with good tyres and suspension! Are you running a fancy LSD and what are you competing against?
Alex

We race it in Chumpcar, which is a series for "cheap" cars. I put "cheap" in quotes because there's no such thing as a cheap racecar. It's all relative, of course.

Typical (fast) opponents are BMW E30's (and a few E36's), Nissan 240SX, Sentra SE-R, Neons, Escort ZX2's, more Volkswagens with transplanted 16V motors and welded diffs than you can shake a stick at, Fox Body 5 liter Mustangs, Fox-4 (Next Gen) Mustangs, Miatas. Oh, and a Geo Metro with a GSX-4 Engine that's chain driven to the rear axle. :dopey:

Our car has some lowering springs (fixed height), poly bushings, CAI, and the engine is a swap from a Celica GT-S, so it's a "smallport" high rev, 4AGE. That's why you hear it constantly screaming for mercy.

This race (from video I linked), we changed to 8 inch wide, 15 tall wheels. We were running BFG G-Force Rival tires, the series allows down to 180 treadwear.

Driven some e30's and some e36's and they are really quick when set up well and your confident in them! Mine had the stock largeport in and that still screams all day long! Got the privilege of driving a few other engine combos' though, one fitted eith the 3sgte from the mk2 mr2 which was unbelieveable and also one fitted with a 1zz which is the same one used in the exige!

I forgot to mention, we ran the car with Supercharger at one point as well. ;)

Fun, but not reliable. It was a junkyard SC out of a Previa, with a homebrew intercooler setup.

I also drove an E30 at Laguna. :D The alignment was messed up from another driver's off in Turn 5 sand trap, resulting in a broken control arm. We "borrowed" an E36 control arm to finish the race.

Ah the Metrognome, I believe that is a hyabusa engine in there. :-) If I recall right, that is not the only motorcycled power car in that series. BTW I am a huge "Team Eyesore Racing" fan more of a 24 hrs. of Lemons team though. Probably became a fan of them since Geek at Large was writing for SCC so many years ago.

Is that the team with the Turbo Miata? If so, they were at the last Laguna race I ran in. They had problems, though. I think cooling issues.

I've races against both the Metrognome and the Ratmann's? that has the Rothman's livery. I'm 99% sure the Metro is not Hyabusa, we actually camped next to those guys a couple of races back, chatted by their fire, drank some of their beer.

Yeah Team Eyesore has the turbo Miata. doesn't surprise me about that they had issues. I believe you are correct to about the Metrognome, it is not a Suzuki engine at all. It is a CBR900 engine. I got a video of it running in the Gran Prix of Ensenada, it is loud as hell I bet in that cockpit. Here it is having brake failure.

Sure I've posted previously in this thread, but likely many pages back and it's always nice to show off the cars...

Daily (company car) is a Citroen DS5. Brand new in October 2012, now on 44k miles. Fairly decent motorway car, loads of equipment and lovely inside.

IMG_1210.jpg

Weekend/wife's car is a '00 Porsche 996. Rear wheel drive, 6 speed manual. We've had this for 6 years now, and it was my daily driver for the 1st 4 years. Currently on 140k miles and gradually working through a sort of a mini restoration - transaxle rebuild last year, just had the wheels done, and the suspension will get rebuilt this year. It's a labour of love (or cash!) at this sort of mileage.

@Allibubba99 sweet ride Al, spent a fair bit of time in Canada over the years (my ex was Canadian) and quite a bit of that behind the wheel of an Explorer (old beat up version though). They've changed, a lot, since I last piloted one and whilst they may not set your pulse racing they are brilliant cars and you couldn't ask for much better, especially in Winter!

@Allibubba99 - SNAP! Well almost...mines a loaded XLT in black. I also have a 'matching' 2012 Fusion in the same color. They have sequential plates as well  since they were purchased on the same day from the same dealer!

The Fusion is a pretty dull drive but it has heated seats and a nice stereo.

This is what's deemed a 'library' picture I think, as the weather isn't quite this nice as this at the moment ...
