26 here. Started on the Master System, never got the Megadrive. The PS all the way from there. Still got my original Solus system, lunched 2 PS2's and got me a Slim 250 PS3. GT1 to GT5 'veteran' lol.
Don't do online, got abuse for an accidental nudge so put me off.
Whats wrong with 'light contact' anyway? Not ramming off the track, just a gentle nudge now and then.

I'm 50 years old. Remember "Pong" anyone? That's the video game I started out with way back when... a ball and two paddles. FUN!

I'm really loving GT5. I use a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel with it and a fine cockpit setup. I also enjoy playing Forza 2 & Forza 3 (with a wheel of course), Need for Speed Shift, Grid, Fable II & III, Red Dead Redemption, Drake 1 & 2, Dragon Age Origins, etc...

I play video games more now than I did when I was younger. I have a PS3 (obviously) an XBox 360, a Wii (that's really my wife's) an old XBox first gen that I still use on occasion to play The Hobbit, a PS2 and a PS1.

I'm in the 46 and older bracket. Been turning wrenches and restoring old vehicles since the early 70's. I'm an old drag racer turned sprint car guy. Play GT3,4,& 5 in the winter months and play with sprint cars for real in the summer. I like trying to figure out suspension set ups that work in B-spec and for myself. It's a fun game and a pleasant distraction from the realities of daily life.

I'm glad to see gaming of all formats, whether it be racing sim, FPS etc appealing to the older crowds now. When it all began it was only kids and teenagers who really played, now it seems 3/4 of the gaming population are 21+. It definitely makes for more enjoyable gaming without the little annoying kids messing about when you'd like a serious game.

^Me too :)^

I have been playing GT games for years. I am still no good at it though :nervous:

Hahaha it doesn't matter how good or bad you are at a game, providing your having fun that's all that matters.

I'm turning 27 this month. Started off by playing GT2 on PS2, played every GT game since then. Love them all!!!

29, played all GTs from the start play it tomuch. =P Live in small town nothing for miles where I don't get out much, lookin' to meet other players.

Ya, i am 45yrs old and have been playing GT since GT1 on the 1st Playstation Console. Best driving sim ever! Finally, racing online, test your skills. Shot out to all GT fans.

Nice to see that the 18 year olds have been grouped together with the 12 year olds :yuck:

36 and still gaming.

Missed the Atari 2600. Started with a Bambino Basketball game (those with green color lights for graphics. Similar to those old casio calculators). Got hooked into racing with those Casio wristwatch with games.

Besides WWII flying games (Heroes over Pacific, Europe; IL 2 Sturmovik); and Rock Band 1 & 2 (70s rock); I play the race games (GT5 Prologue; Ferrari Challenge; F1 2010; and GT5) with a wheel and playseat; which I can afford at my age of 49 :)

40+ and have been playing GT from the start i need to shave soon , where is the turn off switch on these new slim PS3's ? I like GT for gaming i like to see if i can get just xx1 faster around a track above my personal best in which ever car or track i use, so for me the game is never ending i don't need new GT editions to do this but GT5 is great for the graphics.I have to say it saves me a fortune on nights out ! The Mrs aint too happy though !But that is just a "woman thing" i reckon !

40 - First driving game probably "Night Driver" coin-op. This consisted of two rows of white pong bats moving vertically down to screen to make the "road"

Ingersoll console, Dragon 32, [several years in pub] Amiga 500 👍 PS2, PS3.

Another here in the old guys group where the salt has overtaken the pepper as far as hair color. 53 turning 54 in a couple of weeks so looking forward to seeing what car PD will give me for my birthday present.

I also have been a casual gamer since the Mattel Intellivision which was the first system I owned. Been a loyal Playstation fan since the first generation console was released.

I enjoy driving the gt cars the most and find it a lot of fun and a challenge to get the most out of cars like the yellow bird where it is a balance of stepping out the rear but yet being fast and in control. Gently feathering the throttle through the fast sweepers is a blast.

Use a gt Force wheel and feel that not having the force feedback wheel would take a lot out of the game as far as feeling immersed in it.

Have not raced online yet, will try that after some time has passed and the newness wears down and those that remain will be looking for more of a realisic racing experience as what I read right now it is more of a crash fest than anything else.

Have made it to level 29 a-spec and level 31 b-spec and Bob drives the Formula car much better than I do!

Glad to see I am not the only OLD(er) kid here!

48 here. Pong ruled the day when it was first introduced. It was like, what is this box thing that I can make a ball go back and forth with on my tv screen? This is soooo coool!
Back then we had 3 tv stations, 4 if you counted PBS. There was ABC, NBC and CBS. That was it. You either played out in the yard with your friends, played pong, or did your homework. Look at us now rocking to GT5 with our PS3's! hahaha
