I have my own theory of how (potentially aggressive) drivers react to my different liveries,
but I won't spoil it, instead I am proposing the following poll:

Can I come at this from a slightly different angle?

I think rather than attracting attention/aggression, I think those who drive with one solid chrome paint on their cars rather than a livery, seem to be the most aggressive. Not sure why that is, but I always panic a little when I see a green chrome Beetle Gr. 3 or something... :scared:

I honestly don't think it makes any difference.

However, I've seen some liveries that were so distracting, it probably made it seem like people (i.e. I) were being more aggressive towards them. One time I saw a Trans-Am livery on a Mustang.

I initially misread the poll as pertaining to the livery of aggressive drivers but now I see it's related to how aggressive drivers respond to our liveries. I honestly don't think that the livery we use has any effect on the aggressive driver unless it was something antagonistic. Something like a "DON'T RAM ME" decal on the rear bumper would just be begging for some troll to hit them.

As for the livery of the aggressor, there does appear to be a trend of tacky GTA like liveries being more reckless and aggressive than people who use replica liveries.

I don't really do many online races with liveries but whether this is a placebo or not, I feel like I get hit more when using a bright colored car. I now use black for almost every online race and it seems to make a difference. I don't actually care what color the car is because I use bumper cam but it is what it is........

This is not something that you are ever going to be able to prove either way.

However I'd wager that there would definitely be certain things you could put on your car that would get you unwanted attention, either via punts or not so nice messages. For instance plastering Man Utd all over your car is very likely to antagonize some drivers for sure, as would anything these idiots would deem "girly" say a car covered in unicorns, that is sure to be a target for some. Bright chrome and colourshift cars could also attract attention, as usually when I've been bashed about it's from drivers in cars decorated as such. :irked:

Of course if you race against the top drivers a lot then these drivers are far less likely to target anyone based on their livery as that would just distract from trying to win the race and likely lose them DR points. ;)

Usually I go for what I think is a good looking livery.

However sometimes I go for something that just looks plain wrong. I use bumper cam so I don't see my livery when racing. So when I pick something that just screams NO! or WHY?, I'm only doing it to make other players do a double take. I think that in itself can sometimes make a good livery.

Any player getting aggressive over a livery needs to go back to SR E. Thats where their fun is.

If anyone posts in this thread saying they haven't thought twice about going into a corner on the inside of a chrome Subaru with fluorescent wheels, they're lying.
Yep, I have had similar experiences with my red candy, decent wheels though:lol:

Does not hurt to ask, however.

I know it was wrong but the one and only time I intentionally rammed another player they had a Livepool livery...felt good though :)
Maybe "Red Star Belgrade" might be the livery of the moment:cheers:

I would destroy any red star themed car right now ha!

Just kidding but on a serious note, cars with crude messages on the back wind me up

They will punt you out without a thought too I'd imagine. I don't blame anyone targeting these people but still I wouldn't do it myself, they are not worth ruining my race over.

Make no difference. Everytime I use Itasha, Replica, Standard or some random thing I still get punted

Some people just hitting based on nationality target i.e he from x so he avoid x so he attack y,x,q to make road for his fellow countryman, nah other else just being outright hit each other

makes no difference.....unless you're one of those douchebag Americans with a Donald Trump-related livery or a Confederate flag. Then you get the punt.

Never noticed any difference personally. I don't really mind what kinds of liveries other people use too, whether they use serious replicas or just plaster their car with weed leaves and clip art skulls ... it takes all kinds, right?

I have a pink anime Atenza Gr4 and a lavender Ferrari Gr4 that seem to make opponents want to punt me off the track. Hating on anime liveries must be a popular pastime.

I like garish pink liveries, but haven't been knocked off for a while. I did think at first it annoyed some people, and considered it a form of psych warfare but I soon realised I had nothing on the union flag adorned BREXIT car. I still like pink liveries and now have no excuse.

Hmmm lets see.

Try having a cringeworthy decals such as Justin Bieber or Jake Paul Portrait decal.

Better yet, politically charged decals.

I seem to notice no difference whatsoever. I've been punted running ANY livery (Yet to run an itasha as the only exception, only because I feel I'm not skilled enough to do those without looking like the trashy ones with no effort other then "hey, here's a Anime character on my car. lul"). Guarantee if some overly aggressive people are going for the win, your livery is the last thing they'll care about.

Nothing says masterful livery making like Clip Art

I have a "sorry for driving too close in front of you" and a "if you can read this you are too close" sticker, on a lot of my cars, seem to get punted a lot, i'm not a 99sr S rating tho.

Can only speak for myself. Was too busy either trying to pass or most likely getting passed to notice the challenging artwork of my competitors.

just for ***** and giggles of course...
