Should Group B be dropped?

  • Total voters

  • Poll closed .
100 miles is 100 miles whether you do it in 10 laps or 50 laps. I'd vote to keep La Sarthe if I could. In all honesty it'd likely be a shorter race time-wise because its such a high speed track.

I would let you, but let's be honest. Would you think it would make much sense if we would be racing LeMons at Le Mans? I only chose Nurburgring Nordschliefe since it's for the All-Star Race.

Sorry about missing the NASCAR race and also I will try my best to make the race tomorrow. My PS3 just got the YLOD.

Alright, I'll be honest. I think that the long straightaways and low-powered cars, combined with the technical sections of the track, will make for some really interesting racing with all the drafting that's possible. Plus the race would be about half as long as the Autumn Ring race. ~6 minutes a lap for 12 laps = 1h12mins. If I did the math right...

Anywho, I'm not asking that you change your mind back, I'd just like to have the option to vote for it.

And thats all I have the say about that. </gump>

I agree.

We're doing a LeMons series, gotta do LeMans track.

Are we supposed to vote on a new poll??

Well, you can't add a new poll after one is added, so you will just have to leave your vote on a post. Ok, I will let people vote for the track in an updated poll, so if la Sarthe is chosen then we may race there. Sound good?

Put down my vote for La Sarthe.

Having given the issue some thought. You might be right, it could result in a strung out field, a dud race for most. So feel free to have a "I told you so" stored up for me.

But I've still voted for La Sarthe, mainly as I've set aside a fast Lemon car for La Sarthe since day one.

Guys, I have some running around to do tonight, so if anybody wants to host the race tonight then they can. I'm sorry, just that I have to do this. Very important, and I don't want to let myself down IRL.

If anybody will host tonight I will be very appreciated, thanks.

Roger that. I'll see you guys at around 7:30.

Thanks Brett :)👍. If anybody can post a few screenshots of the race i'll be happy. Alright, i'll be back at about 10:00 PM.

Great race guys and thanks Terbo for hosting it for us this week! Congrats on another victory WiiFreak! You will have to teach me your secret lol.

Cool. Does anybody have some screenshots of the race? Or a video on YouTube?

On another note, I will check WiiFreak's cars out soon. I am doing this since the All-Star race is next week, featuring the top 6 drivers in the standings, and since it gives bonus points I want to do this, just so it can be fair.

I saved the replay and I'll do up some pictures tonight. Is there a way to save the replay as a video?

I don't think so. You could possibly use a camera and record the replay, but that's the hard way.

Just so you know, I have a text file with all of the parts I put on my Lemons cars saved on my computer. I use it to record the total cost of each car so I don't accidentally break the budget. I can send you some of it in a PM while you check my cars so you can see how much I spent on each car ;)

Here is an example of one of them, this one being the MX-5 I ran in today's race.

MX-5 Miata S-Special I (NA,J) '95

143HP/6800rpm
1000kg - FR

12,271 (purchase price)
12,521 (+250) Sports Air Filter
13,521 (+1000) ECU tuning
14,021 (+500) Catalytic Converter: Sports
14,271 (+250) Oil Change
14,771 (+500) Rear Wing Type C

Nice photos Brett 👍.

Also, regarding WiiFreak, I am glad you told me about the upgrades. I think the reason you are doing good is due to your car choice and tuning. Most of us actually forget about the cheaper upgrades, as you pointed out, such as the air filter.

I hope everybody is enjoying the series and I am looking forward to the All-Star race next week. The scoring system for the All-Star race will be 5 points, so 1st place gets 30, 2nd gets 25 and so on. Also, this allows other racers to focus on practice for race 4 and gives them a break from racing for a week.

EDIT: Was Sephy driving a chrome Silvia?

I saved the replay and I'll do up some pictures tonight. Is there a way to save the replay as a video?

There's no short way of getting replay footage onto a computer.

There was speculation that GT5 would have a feature that would allow you to save replays as a video file which could be transferred via USB. But that never happened.

You need something like a TV-Video capture card. Plug your PS3 into your computer and capture the signal.

My opinion is: you don't really need to have a 1080P capable card, if your goal is to put the footage up on Youtube then 720P would be fine - editing will be easier too. The PS3 can output various settings.

ah, lol, thanks for showing my attempt at rally on the course, that really sucked bad :( it was fun guys. really started to figure out the track and car around the last 5 laps when i was hitting 5:55's and a last lap of 5:54. good clean race people. sans my over shooting the first chicane :P

It has been up there since the begining, but I guess it never really hit me, so why is the All-Star race in the middle? By excluding all but the top 6, which admittedly I believe is just me, doesn't it just make those below 6 falling farther behind? It's not as if I have a chance at winning at all so in that respect it doesn't matter.

Everyone's points seem to be updated fine in post #2 except for spitfire143. He is showing 0 points but it should be 50.
