Mine is better. Simply because it took a lot of effort to get Windoze to look like this. Yes, this = Windows XP.
Your "Dock" icons suck. And what system font is that? *shivers*

Mine is still clearly the best.

And your cursor looks weird.

I rulez.

DtV, where did you get the Wallpaper? I like it :D
I got it from Jordan's gallery, it was from the motorshow...can't remember where (I think it was New York)...but I liked the photos as well...:D

Just counted all the icons up there, that's a grand total of:
46, that's right, 46 icons.

What is up with you people and all your shortcuts? Why even have a nice graphic on your desktop if your going to wreck it with all those tacky icons? Ever heard of the start button? Put your toys away!

its easier to get to where u wanna go with loadsa icons cos u can get there from the desktop and anyhow im not ruining the pic am i? i keep all my icons so they dont obstruct the main focus of the pic in this case the gt's which are not obstructed at all

Get that Apple-like dock thingy to put all of your icons there. I forgot what it was called. It makes your desktop look cool also.

The road to hell is paved with desktop shortcuts. You have no idea how many of my coworlers are totally hopeless on a different computer, because they have all their crap on desktop shortcuts and have no real idea how to get to it otherwise.

My mom is that way. She doesn't even know that the start menu exists, and always asks me how to start programs. I show her how to access the start menu, and she promptly forgets. I can't imagine what she would do If she saw my computer. I don't have a single desktop icon. I can't believe that it took registry editing to delete the "Recycle Bin" icon.

I disagree. I know where all my icons are. Yet I keep around 10 Icons on my desktop. Why? It's easier to access them.

Heh, as with Tim, my parents are the same way... they'd keel over and die without aliases.

On the other hand, I hate them (with the exception of the Dock being a set of aliases, in a way)... my desktop is always absolutely clean.

How do you do that? I'd like to get rid of my last remaining icon.

Just press Right click your desktop and goto Arrange Icons by, then click Show Desktop Items and it will Hide all your items.

Yes, but then you can't save anything to the desktop for convenience,a nd still see it. I'll look for the registry key you have to delete , the only problem is, you can only acess the Recycle Bin from C:/Recycle if you delete it.

Edit: Okay, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace, and delete the Recycle Bin subkey. Remember that the only way to acess the recycle bin after you do this is through C:/Recycle. Restoring it is difficult. You might want to copy down the key data, so you can replace it later if needed.
