you know, we can also start a "black list" of racers, that might be helpful. so then when you're in the loading screen and you recognize someone, you already enter the race prepared

I just assume none of them can drive.

I raced with Shergar today...he tried about 3 or 4 times to ram me, but I knew he would and i slowed down early for the turns. When he was ahead of me, i went to give him a slight love tap as a "I know what youre up to" message and it ended up sending him through a sandpit and he finished 6th outta 7...guess he cant handle that VW Golf he was drivin.

I think that players online are getting better. When Prologue first went online, the blatant ramming and cheating was way worse than I notice now. I usually only do the professional races though (like the GT-R Fuji race), so I don't know if it's worse in races with the slower cars. It does get old really quick, and on rare occasions I will forget about the race and concentrate on wrecking the idiot who pissed me off. My PSN ID is GTaddictDOTcom (or Turbo91GT sometimes).

i did some GTR races today and the cheating was horrific, i only did 3 races and gave up. i got nerfed on the home straight soo many times, and i was letting people by?! i enjoy giving someone a draft on the straight because i know that 9/10 people are going to overshoot their brake point (which is early than usually, as they are doing 300km/h not 270~ as usual...) and ill take the place back at the end of the first corner...

Yeah, I do get pissed off in the GT-R race. I hate that damn straight because I've had more than a few people do whatever they can to keep me from going by, including trying to push me off the track.

Why would he think that, couldn't you just tell him it was Shegar. Wait does GT5P not support voice chat? If it does not, I'm sure it will eventually, hopefully when the us release comes. So of course GT5 full game should have all of GT5P's kinks worked out, I hate waiting.

No sadly it doesn't. The main problem in this situation is that he will most likely think it was me who caused him to crash out. lol

The online racers are getting quicker, but that just means there's more 'average' drivers around to punt each other off. The last time I raced the GTR Fuji event the dude called 'syousyousyou' had reasonable speed, but shoved every single car off the track.

So why not do 2 laps of qualifying before the real race? In professional mode you'd have to beat a certain time to be able to take part of a race. You'd have much less chance of having a race full of cheaters.
And then, when there are less cheaters then normal racers, the question for a ban should pop up when he hits someone and with the push of a button you'd be able to vote and kick him.

That doesnt leave much time to concentrate on the act of driving/racing if you now have to watch the vote poll and ban etc.

Everyone just needs to quit whining and wait for a lobby with custom/private races.

That simple - problem solved.

Pickup races/games will never be good - on any platform, any game and time.

This has been the real problem since the first online multiplayer games over a decade ago.

I wouldn't say that. I play the live for speed S2 demo with my DFP, and configured a button to vote. It's just like looking at your laptimes, it doesn't distract you that much.

sometimes though, crashes online are not the "fault" of a cheaty driver but of oblivious bad drivers,

say for example i am faster than someone and dive up the inside in a corner, the other guy might not realise im there, try to continue his own winding line and end up turning into my car. OR he might try and slam the door shut too late resulting in both cars touching.

the other issue is that when you tap someone they tend to bounce about 20ft off your car, which makes it difficult to see who is cheating and who isnt,...

I can't stand 'OnJaunt' and 's1105' (I think it ends with 05), they deliberately push people off the track on the straights.

The GT-R race drives me nuts...

I usually get a nice tap just before the braking zone for the first corner and go sailing off into the barrier, it takes so much time to recover.

That and half the time someone hits me in the first corner I get stuck with a 10 second penalty...

The Daytona race isn't as bad to (Sport class). Someone thats name Started with 'S' and ended with '200' was a real jerk tho.

Im going to get my camera and record some races later.

What is completely pi$$ing me off, is the guys who take the long right sweeper after the hairpin left really wide out onto the run off area, only to drive straight through you at the right kink virtually at full speed. They get a 4.2 second pen, and go ghosty, only to turn solid and be at the perfect speed for the tighter right.

No more for me tonight, tired as it's 02.30 here and gotta get to bed.

I started out 13th in a 14 car race. The first part of the video is lap one on the back straight, showing nhbf trying to hit me when I passed him. It was funny because he ended up spinning out. The second part of the video is on lap 5 with me in the lead. I saw nhbf sitting on the track ahead of me and I knew he would try to wreck me. I was planning on looking like I was going to go to his right, but I was really planning on going to the left. My timing was off and you can see the result of that. Haha hey man, I didnt realize that was you. I actually thought you were a rammer at first cause we got tangled up a few times, but we got it straightened out . I always like to wait a few laps and watch people race to see if they're rammers or not, and I saw you racin clean, so I just forgot about the mess earlier. It's really hard to race close cause of the lag, which is the cause of quite a few wrecks. And yeah, the ramming was gettin really bad on there; worse than I've seen it before. There was one race in which I was chillin out in 3rd place, biding my time since the front two were about to kill each other, then I go into the first turn like normal (very cautiously), the next thing I know, I'm flying into the wall at full blast. I did finally get a win, and decided to end my session on a good note. But yes, good racin! Sorry about the couple of times we got tangled up! Hopefully we'll race again, with no rammers to worry about!

I did a few races @ Daytona too, earlier in the night and it is complete mayhem most of the time. Was running in 1st place only to have an idiot come out from the infield and take me out via the straight-line route through the corner.

Admittedly, I did then sit in the track and wait for the d;ck to come back round and drove straight at him in revenge. Comedy head-on action that should have been on video! Not proud of it, but I had a moment of weakness.

Never mind, I just hope that they sort out private servers for the full GT5.
