New Release Date Discussion

Here are release date:

France: 20th February.
Canada: 15th March.
UK: 25th February.
US: 15th March.

All dates are from Amazon websites and are 2005.

I wouldn't trust those dates until Sony makes an official announcement.

That's the thing... No one knows when it's going to be released yet. So you can't say that it will be released in Europe before N.A.

Hey, I'm only reporting what Amazon have said so there, I could easily see these dates slipping, just praying that they dont. I've got some major time at school to kill until GT4's released!

My guess is that with the Japanese release at the end of December we will see it sometime by the end of March and that it won't be pushed back to Q2 2005, assuming they've made up their mind about online play.

my question is, wouldnt they have already translated it? They know from Day one exactly where this game will be released, so it only makes sense to translate the game during development. I simply don't buy the idea thatthe delay is purely b/c they are just now getting around to translating it. Something else it causing the delay(and no I am NOT suggesting the inclusion of online at all).

I'm sure PD is waiting to see if there any bugs at all that need to be fixed. Several mistakes have already been pointed out.

I agree, it can't possibly be a 2 month wait because of localization. That is something that should be included from the begining.

And why would PD wait to see if there are any bugs to be fixed. That just means they shipped an inferior product out to all the begging hands in japan, who will now be miffed because they have a flawed copy.

which is just fine by me. I'll gladly wait till the end of March(simply the end of Q1, the only real release date given. Not trying to guess an actual release) if all the kinks can be ironed out, such as the Lightning actually being FR, and vastly more important, the inclusion of 2p mem. card battles. Please PD, make it right to us!

yes ,the network setup was in the game ,as you can see from photos from japan,I really believe it will be available to us here.

My friend owns a Video Game store in Seattle. (Lunch Money Video Games & DVD's on Boren for the Washingtonians here).

His distributor still ahs the date listed as Feb. 15, 2005. Has for about the last 3 weeks now. There is a possibility that it may be moved back to the 22nd, but his rep said they wouldent know that until the date gets closer, and as of right now, its still the 15th.

If somthing changes, ill be sure to let you all know first.

Probably already been mentioned in this thread.

I was just looking on the UK Sony Games site, and they have it listed as Feb 2005. I think that will be a final date.

Anyways, I´m gettin´ Forza Motorsport for X-box 01-02-2005, where you actually can wreck your ride, and make skid-marks.. yiiiir :-P The game includes only 200 cars, but at least they got Ferrari´s

i read the same thing somewhere...

i hope that Feb is the month of release of GT4.. but i wont hold my breath. but like others have said, hopefully during the delay they will fix up some errors in the game.. if they do then im happy to wait until end of march to get it
