New Release Date Discussion

It is still my opinion that the moderators only keep this stupid thread so we dont have hundreds of new members making new ones.. although , I dont know why they dont lock this stupid thing, We will have an official announcment, and no matter what your "local gaming store" says , and whatever eb etc. says will only be true through an announcment by PD and the rest of our friends at sony...

sorry for the rant but this subject is very over run , by people that dont realise there are 100's of other fans here waiting for the game as well :grumpy:
 
Completely agree, but if you think about it, not all people sit, think, should I post this or not, they post it. You probably won't be able to stop that. So in way those people end up here and say the release date, maybe someday, the same way PD's release date will be posted. :p

Grrrr, can't imort CR from GT3 or licences from GTP, probably as they are both PAL. Ah well, on with my licences then chaps!!

Ok, so I can't remember where I just know people were pre-ordering on Gameplay.com because they were pretty reliable and actually got the game early?? I am concern if I'm in the US and do purchase from there am I really going to be getting a better deal than if I buy it hear at a store? (i.e because of things like shipping charges and conversion of money) Thanks

Ok, just to reignite the fire, apparently according to EB games and Game Rush, the game is delayed again to March 10th - 21st in AUSTRALIA.

But I'm gonna be getting the game in a couple of days but not sure if I want to spoil it by playing a game and constantly having to refer to the translations (Thanks VERy much maskrider).

There are a couple of reasons for you NOT to order from Gameplay. For one, Gameplay.com is a British website. So 1) You'll be getting the PAL version of the game, and you'll need a modchip to play it, and 2) By the time it's out in the UK and ships from Gameplay, the rest of us Americans will be happily enjoying our U/C version. Remember, it's coming out there after it's coming out here. Since you're in the U.S., you might as well just get the U.S. version.

I used a ouija board last night to contact the devil about the release date for GT4....I promised him the soul of my firstborn if he would tell me when GT4 would be released in the US. He told me that KY was in charge down there and he wasn't allowed to tell anyone when the US release was. Man, some people have all the connections.

I was in Maryland over the weekend and stopped at a local GameStop. The release date they claim is Feb 3. I still can't see that as being the release date but it's still a new date.
 
Well, the word on the IGN board is still tomarrow. Anyone else here anything about this? It's gettingh harder and harder to belive it will be tomarrow but hey it would be nice.
 
i called 3 different stores 8 locations and all the dates were in march, one guy even laughed at the 1/18 release date. two people said they were trying to put online mode back in so it may be possible we might not see it until march-june

At Best Buy they have $5 reservation cards, you buy this piece of cardboard for $5 and they will have GT4 for you on the release day, which on the card says 3/16/2005.
I would have bought one while there but it was a Best Buy that's farther away from my house. It's not like I don't have nearly 2 months to get the piece of cardboard.
 
Hmm... have you gotten any other gt games from them before? I have a gift card and if they are gonna have it soon then I might pre-order from there.

They will have it as soon as any other retailer in the U.S. - not any sooner or later.
