This is an interesting article... they claim that GT4 should be out next month...

Here's a quote from the article...

I wouldn't trust a car magazine to tell me when a PS2 game would be released any more than trusting a game magazine to tell me what features a new car will have when released. The official release date will be announced by sony very shortly - there's no need to try to read tea leaves in the meantime.

Point taken, but that's the reason why I said "claim". I'm sure they don't have an actual release date.

Uuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. 'people out there who think the delay of gt4 is because of online play will be added to gt4 in the comming months for the 'US' and 'PAL' version are dreaming. Pease don't make me bet on it, because I will.

I recently went to Detroit for the autoshow, had a blast, and got the chance to play the Mazda demo. it was really nice but not much different then the BMW and Japan demo (graphics, physics wise) oh no back fire. I also played on the subaru sim. It was a 2nd revision of Prologue made for Subaru. That was nice.

I'm referring to their GT4 info page, NOT the BS "I saw GT4 boxes at Circuit City BS" by little 10 year kids on their forum. Their info page never advocated the 01.18 date, but whether the 02.22 date and now 03.14.

Hopefully Best Buy sells the game on the release date. When MGS3 was released I went in there on that day to buy it and they said they couldn't sell it till a few days later. They do that with every new release I have tried to get from them. Fortunatly, there is a EB near buy where I can go get the games I want on the day I want them. Unfortunatly, I have 60$ in Best Buy gift cards. So I have to get somthing from them and there isn't anything else out I wanna buy. Anyway theres my rant for the day.

try out with relatives, neighbours, friends ... maybe someone needs to buy something in that shop and can change you with normal money. couldn't hurt to ask ...

and if the gift cars must be used by you, ask anyone of them, if you can buy whatever they wanted to buy for them and they give you money.

You could always tell someone there's $100 on there when there's only $60 and really make some money! Or you could just mail them to me so that I can buy a memory card for my digi-cam.

You're welcome . Glad to help. Have experience of such things since here in my town there are some employers, who pay extra hours on the job with coupons for some supermarkets and there is a lot of that sort of trading going on . My friend gets them every month and he trades them with his mother, because he gets coupons for grocery store .

Oh well, onto the next few questions. We're skeptical people and haven't heard too, too much from Sony US. There's no better way to find out the release date for all the upcoming GT games than the source. Yamauchi-san tells us that GT4 will appear in the US before Japan. The game is still on target for a US release date of November--that could be anywhere from the first to as late as the 30th.

Talk about a load of crap from IGN, why would a game developed in Japan come out in America first! lol

Call it being duped by the big boys, in denial or refusal to believe noone but SCEA but, as far as i'm concerned they know better than ANY gamesite/magazine/website/retailer...ect when GT4 will really come out. Better to trust the developer than get your hopes up by relying on unoffocial resources that have very little or no clue as to when the game will really come out.

Notice how IGN has finally put in a Ides of March date that coensides with SCEA's March date. I wonder, if SCEA would put a Feb 28th date on the offocial GT4 webpage, would IGN change their date to Feb 28th as well?

ok only one way 2 see when its GT4 will be realeased we bring all our minds together and build a time machine thats can take us 11 months into the future which would be 12-19-05 and see if GT4 was realeased buy thousands of copys if it was come back to this day and sell them from $60.00 how does that sound

I've just come off the phone to SCEE and the news looks good. Release is 25th Feb or before, I will get a call back from them over the next few days to confirm. PAL, so far, will be released before North America. There will be more cars in the PAL version than the Japanese version.

Just a follow on from the above post.
I've just come off the phone to SCEE and the release date is Friday 11th March for the UK.
