What are they delaying? Are they trying to add more to the game before they release it in America? If so that kinds rips off people who already have it.

I doubt there is going to be a significant difference between the Asian/Japanese version and the versions everyone else will get aside from the language.

A fellow co-worker who happens to works at Sam Goody as well says the release date will be January 30th. The 30th falls on a Sunday. When is the last time a game was released on a Sunday?

I spoke with my friend who owns an indipendant video store in Seattle today about the release date. He had just spoken with his rep from his distributor (ingram entertainment, who also supplies Babbages chains) and said that the date they continue to get is Tues. Feb. 15th.

The only think that has coused this mass serge in posting in the release date threads recently is a person who claims "sony has confirmed" I dont dont think they confirmed abything. I think they used that wording to make the website seem more offical

thats fine, I understand your scepticisism. I just asked the guys over there to bring in a pic off the games. hopefully that will but this to rest. There are some really respected members backing this one up. I believe this enough to think about takeg next tuesday off from work. We will see.

Well, on the one hand, the original U.S. release was scheduled for just two weeks after the Japanese release.. so the 18th isn't really that far off that time-frame. And I think this is the first time such reports have come from multiple people.

On the other hand, there's no proof. So once again, we wait.

I've been dissapointed by release dates in the past and I've learned not to get too excited... however unless these guys are working together they seem to be telling the truth. I saw more than one other person say that this guys circuit city claim is legit (in case you didnt know the ign forums post was from a guy who works at circuit city). Thank you God if this is true...

A lot of the details of the story seem to be a bit fishy. Boxes with red tape on them? COME ON! Most pre releases get to store within a day or two, not a week or two.

yeah, same here... but how can you not smile with this small possiblity of it being true. It's hard not to.

Actually its not all that uncommon i know a couple of guys that work at best buy and they get stuff early pretty often, San Andreas for example they got i think it was at least 6 days early. Just thought I'd put my two-sense in.

I've reserved GT4 a longggg time ago . I called GameStop the 8th of january n they told me the game was gonna come out the 22 or 23rd of febuary 2005. Today i called them n they tell me its a Definatly that they should have GT4 the 2nd of febuary 2005. any of u have talked to gamestop staff members yet? n told u about the release date

GameStop doesn't always know what's going on.. I remember back in October, "The Bard's Tale" was released a week early. I had read about the bump-up about a week before, and went in to get it that day. The guy in GameStop had to check the computer to make sure he could sell it.. he hadn't heard a thing about the release until he actually recieved the shipment. The same could hold true here.

I got my GT4 reservation as a X-mas gift from my wife in 2003...yes 2003!! Everybody at Gamestop and ebgames say it will march or later... they seem to like giving bad "news" to customers...or maybe they are just negative...

GT4 has been delayed so many times so dont nut in your pants just yet. I personally don't know why it's been delayed, but if they are making improvements then I'm willing to wait. I think evry1 would want the best possible outta GT4. Therez really no point in looking at the internet anymore for its release date because it might change. Just wait till tha day you see in in tha store.
