ya right. every online game ive played has had people speaking languages other than english. the only one i can remember where they dont is socom, and thats because when i play, i play in the canadian servers. but games like diablo, diablo 2, starcraft, gunbound, ragnarok, quake, counter strike and whatnot ive seen people speak in a language where my computer interprets as mumbo jumbo.Originally posted by LoudMusic
Come to think of it, I don't recall any online games where the other players spoke a language other than my own.

I never though it was THAT simple, I'm not the most technical of people, I get by though.

It would be nice to organize some kind of official league in each country and the 10 best drivers could race in a European or North American league... and then, the 10 best racers of each super leagues may participate and fight for winning the world championship...
And the final winner, gains a real car ... or maybe two...
You see ? would be so exciting !!!!
( but everyone with the same car for one race and the same configuration... no change or tuning allowed !! only skills and luck)
It would be fun with the Fiat Panda !!!!

Actully I'm not so sure that is the case... As far as I'm aware you DO have to pay extra... Something like an extra £5 a month.
I'm not sure online play via PS2 will work without this. Although to be honest I don't actully know what they give you for this extra...

Unlike X-Box Live!, PS2 online play is completely free, except for a few games that have an ever evolving game world. Currently, the only two games that fit that bill are Final Fantasy XI and Everquest Online. All other titles, and there are many of them, are completely free. Whether GT4 will require subscription fees remains to be seen, but in light of the above I consider it highly unlikely.
B.t.w., one of the original reasons that was stated last year for the delay of GT4 was the trouble PD had for crossing the region boundaries in online play. That would mean that are, in fact, making it possible for people in all regions to play together.
