Speaking of that, I think we need limitations on Pokemon usage incase someone comes in with 5 Primals and a Mega Rayquaza which would ruin the fun for everyone else.

I'm thinking a rule where you get to choose either a Mega Evolution or 1 Legendary on your team.
What do you think about 1 mega and one 600 Base Stat legendary(like the eon twins)

True, Pseudo Legendaries can Mega too, and they have the same stat total.

I guess we just make a list of certain Pokemon that take the Mega Slot. Which I think should be the legendaries that go over 600.

So using 1 of these Pokemon will not allow you to Mega Evolve/Primal Reverse:

Mewtwo
Lugia
Ho-oh
Kyogre
Groudon
Rayquaza
Dialga
Palkia
Giratina
Arceus
Reshiram
Zekrom
Kyurem
Xerneas
Yveltal
Hoopa - Unbound

We could do PWT/Battle Frontier/Battle Maison style with that ban list.

Their ban list is a bit too basic with a lot of cracks (Mega Kangaskhan being too strong, as well as the banishment of Phione), allowing 1 Legendary to be used with a Mega Evolution clause on it fixes those cracks without going over the edge. Mega Evolutions are supposed to put Pokemon at Legendary levels anyway so I don't think it'll be bad by allowing 1 of them in per team like a Mega Evolution.

Makes sense. I think the idea you had was pretty good. Having no megas if you use a serious legendary.

Okay I'm in port and got my new 3DS.

Here's the specs of the shiny Rayquazas:

1. Docile, IVs 31 HP, 31 Atk, 31 Def, 18 SpAtk, 3 SpDef, 16 Spd
2. Sassy, IVs 31 HP, 29 Atk, 31 Def, 25 SpAtk, 11 SpDef, 31 Spd
3. Naughty, IVs 31 HP, 31 Atk, 0 Def, 31 SpAtk, 6 SpDef, 10 Spd
Sorry, i was away this past weekend.
I'd like the naughty Rayquaza, if that's ok. When would you be available?
The Diancies i have are Naive and Lax.

I find ORAS to be very disappointing in the long run. Very little replayability. Find myself going back to SoulSilver which I still consider to be my 'prime' game.

How does one get a Pokemon from Black to AS?

You need to use Poké Transporter to transfer your Pokémon into Pokémon Bank.

Forgot to mention:

This tournament will be a Round-Robin Tournament. Everyone competes in each round and will get points depending on how much Pokemon they had left when they won. At the end of the Tournament, the competitor with the highest amount of Points becomes the Unofficial GTP Pokemon Champion.

Sounds fun, but I'll have to pass. Don't have enough time these days to assemble a competitive team and partake in a tournament.

Why so serious. I'm pretty sure no one can make 4 different competitive teams for the battle formats (hell I don't like breeding for IVs, Natures and Egg Moves)

It's all about having fun.

I'm too busy these days for fun. Sad but true. :p

Wait...what?
Since most legendaries and Megas are similar in terms of power, I made it so you can have 1 main legendary on your team at the cost of not mega evolving.

Though I worded it wrong, it is suppose to say "at most"

Do we make a team for each "class"? or is it ok if we re-use the same Pokemon?

You can re-use. No need to make 4 classes ;)

I'm interested. Will probably have to get a competitive legendary (unless I choose to use my Kyurem-B) to fill the gap and I'll also have to figure out the rotation battles meta, but still.

Also, is stuff like Shaymin-Sky, Kangaskhan-Mega, Landorus, etc. legal then?

Yeah, they would be... though remember you can't Mega if you choose any of the other Pokemon on the list.

Surprised we don't have any posts yet about Pokemon Z.... I guess I'll start.

Here is the statement from Serebii.com:

Following the leak in CoroCoro, the official reveal for the new Zygarde forms has come. Most of the forms keep their name, but Zygarde Perfect Forme is to be called Zygarde Complete Forme in the west. It also describes Ash-Greninja as the form that Greninja takes when the bond between it and Ash is raised to the limit. The strength of their bond changes Greninja's appearance, and it takes on the characteristic look of Ash's attire. This phenomenon is also said to have happened just once several hundred years ago in the Kalos region, but it remains shrouded in mystery.
Zygarde Cell: This stage has been identified as the single Cells that make up Zygarde. Cells do not possess any will or thought processes. They're found scattered throughout the region. Since they can't use any moves, researchers question whether they can even be called Pokémon!
Zygarde Core: At this stage, this aspect of Zygarde is little more than a part of the Pokémon's brain. Unlike the Cells, the Cores are self-aware and can communicate with Cells and other Cores via telepathy. When a change occurs in the local region's ecosystem, Cores have been known to take action.
Zygarde 10% Forme: Zygarde 10% is the Forme that the Zygarde Core takes when it gathers 10% of the Cells nearby. Capable of traveling over 60 mph (100 km/h), it defeats enemies with its sharp fangs and its incredible speed.
Zygarde Complete Forme: This is the perfect Forme that Zygarde takes when the Core gathers 100% of the Cells. When the ecosystem is under threat, and the Core concludes that the 50% Forme will be unable to deal with it, the Core takes on the Complete Forme. Its power is said to be greater than that of the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal!

So from what I can tell, Pokemon Z is pretty much confirmed at this point!

Also, I've heard rumours that if Z is to come, it won't be the last game in Gen VI... Thoughts anyone?

Yeah, I wasn't sold on a Pokemon Z happening but now I am. Though I'm thinking it will be a direct sequel to XY rather than an enhanced version of those games, much like Black 2 and White 2.

If I had to guess, it'll probably be officially unveiled sometime in February and be released in the summer to coincide with the movie.

I get a lot of Chaos vibes from Zygarde as it'll transform and be more powerful.

It is definitely an interesting concept they are going dor, I am likely going to keep the 10% Forme if possible because it reminds me of my favourite Eeveelution Jolteon :P

I might guess an even earlier please date. The XY & Z anime is coming in about a month I think in Japan. I reckon we might get a surprise release for the game

It will be released in February mate. That's the 20th anniversary of the first games being released in Japan. They won't miss that for anything.

I hope Pokemon Z fixes some the issues with Generation VI, including a better and deeper story, a difficulty setting and an actual Post-Game.

Also, can I please give my character an actual buzz cut. That "Very Short" hair isn't really "Very Short"

What with Mario Maker, Happy Home Designer, etc... are you sure Pokemon Z is gonna be the 20th Anniversary celebration rather than Pokemon Gym Designer?

Hopefully, Gym Designer will be a feature in Pokemon Z :P.
