I don't mind region revisions, you get a second clance as well as fixes from the first game, especially if it ls a sequel and you experience how the world has changed.

They have release-quality logos made for them. There's absolutely no way that those are just placeholder titles.

I stand corrected.

Pokemon Sun and Moon. Confirmed for 3DS 12/2016.

Should start in eight minutes.

Watches direct, sees Pokemon Sun and Moon being officially confirmed.

The brief glimpses of Sun and Moon concept art seem oddly focused on vehicle designs.

Perhaps they're following in FFXV's footsteps with the whole roadtrip theme? It would be a good fit, I think. One of the concept arts looked like it had an Ash-esque fellow outside a motel-looking place with what is presumably his truck.

Edit: Here it is...

And the new games are about...what, exactly? Nostalgia is great and all but I'm used to it now with all the speedruns I watch.
One suspects that showing all the previous games means it's the 'all 6 regions' game some have wanted.

The game looks like it'll have a travel aspect to it, certainly...

But I don't think all 6 regions is probable. I think that one big region that is more realistic in scale & scope is more likely.

The game has so little announced. No idea if it's new generation, new Pokemon, new region. Literally nothing at all.

Is... is that Blastoise in the back of that truck? Is that the Pokemon equivalent of a firetruck? That is amazing.
Yep, definitely a Blastoise.

I don't think there's any way we can deny that this is going to be a 7th Gen Pokemon game. Also looking back at the announcement and some of the concept art, there's one scene which shows a new Pokemon being worked in progress which hasn't been mentioned yet on here. It's unfinished obviously but it gives us a little teaser at what Gen 7 has to offer.

Incase anyone was wondering, yes this screenshot was taken on a IOS device, specifically my IPhone 6s.

Agreed.

It's good to be skeptical, but to suggest we have absolutely no information other than the titles and logos is incorrect.

There were several glimpses at concept art, from which educated guesses (at the very least) can be inferred.

But don't take my word for it... On Pokemon.com, they call it the "next era of Pokemon games", then go on to say "Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are coming out for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family in holiday 2016, with a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures to discover!"

So uh... what were you saying?

Agreed.

Didn't read press release and the next era doesn't automatically translate to new world.

No, but "new world" does.

Yes it does. They did a good job keeping it under wraps.

I'm actually more excited about the idea of transferring Pokemon from Gen I to Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun. As Pokemon in Gen I could know moves that others in other gens couldn't due to different TMs.

Don't get your hopes up. Who's to say they didn't fix up the Gen I games to be slightly more in line with modern Pokemon?

I don't think they would reprogram the Gen I games, that would cause a riot with the genwunner's. Not to mention it would waste more time and money.

Also, even if they do change it, I wouldn't think they would change the TMs, especially with the limited amount of Moves in Gen I

Interestingly Missingno and company can still be found in the VC releases.

Hopefully they can be transferred by some magic hacks.

It'll probably be like transferring Gen I pokemon to Gen II where Missingno. would turn into a Gen II Pokemon.

I'm just happy to have my Mimic Blastoise again, while Mimic isn't as OP as it was back then, it is surely my favourite moves. While my friends were spamming Earthquake, I was always stealing the best moves with Mimic.

Alright, looks like I'm wrong on them fixing up the games.

But they could stop you from transferring certain Pokemon from RBY to Pokemon Bank... Missingno certainly, Mew possibly, Pokemon with unconventional move sets... Maybe.

I wouldn't think so, since you can transfer Pokemon XDs Lugia fine despite it knowing Deoxy's signature move.

That Truck is prehaps inspired by a Chevy C10? again a region based on US like Unima/Isshu? (Unima is the Italian name, i never played in English the V Gen, i don'rembmer how he is named in that country, sorry! :) )

Unova is the English name ;).

Perhaps the region is based in Australia because one of Australian's national vehicles are the Utes and they look like Utes.

Australia Based Region looks good as Concept for a Future Pokèmon Game, also for the Habitat in that country, ok if they makin' that in future don't make as Pokèmon abused concepts like a Kangaroo who fight wearing boxe glows and a Koala with leafs of Eucaylptus, they arn't origial at hall (a Tasman Devil Pokèmon or a Cainis Lupus Dingo based Pokèmon instead they will be a good idea)

They may prevent Missingno from being transferred. Or maybe that's how you acquire one of the legendaries in Sun/Moon.

If the region was based in Australia, I expect Spinarak and Joltik to be massively common

Has anyone noticed how buff Machamp will be in Sun and Moon.

In Gen I, Machamp could learn Fissure a OHKO move.

In Gen III onwards Machamp has the ability No Guard where all of his moves don't miss.

Since you can transfer Gen I Pokemon to Sun and Moon...

...oh no, everyone better get some Flying types .

I need to get myself a Fissure Machamp.

Aren't OHKO moves usually disqualified from competitive play anyway?
