I've played Silver, Platinum, HeartGold, Black, White 2, X, and Omega Ruby. Y'all know what is the only Shiny I've ever met.

I would hate to lose a shiny :(, luckily ive only failed once when i hit run from a female Nidoran. Also,
hunting for shiny Pokemon that have teleport is pretty simple as long as you have Taunt or an ability that prevents escape.

I wish I was you after reading this, not because of the shiny Kirlia problem but encountering like 3 shinies. I'd be surprised if you encountered all of those within a day. I've only encountered like one shiny Pokemon in my whole life and that was a shiny golduck on Soul Silver. I wonder how many hours you've spent just trying to get a shiny Kirlia.
Well, it was about three days of watching movies/youtube, playing random games and wiggling the circle pad every so often. Not exactly difficult, but it must have been quite a few hours of 'play'.

It goes from "Oh yes!!!! There it is, finally!" to "a long silence before a lot of swearing" rather quickly.

EDIT: didn't mean to double post, oops.

I've played since Gen I and I have encountered 5 Shinies on my Journey.

Purple Swampert (was my starter in Sapphire)
Golden Geodude (Caught)
Brown Starly (didn't have any Pokeballs :()
Green Tangela (CRITICAL HIT IT )
Green Ursaring (Caught)

I figured that since my plan of a GTP Pokemon Tournament is a round robin. It can be an Open Tournament meaning anybody can participate at anytime without the need to sign up.

Heading to my first ever proper official tournament on Saturday - Midseason Showdown at Nottingham. I'm nervous that I haven't tested my team well enough, but hey - I've signed up and I've already spent enough time putting my team together, so no point turning back now. If this goes well, I might see about getting even more serious and going to even more events...

I tried playing LeafGreen over the weekend and kind of forced myself to continue as long as I could but man, I really just don't like a large majority of the gen. 1 Pokémon. Aside from the Squirtle, Charmander, Pikachu, Dratini and Gastly evolution lines, I have no real affection for any of the monsters of that generation.

So now it's on to my favourite generation, IV. Heart Gold is usually my go-to but this time I'll mix things up a little bit and give Platinum some love.

You're pretty much the opposite to me.:p

I love Leaf Green and hate the Sinnoh games. Never finished Heart Gold myself, I should really get back to it.

I remember that HeartGold was my first ever Pokémon game where I legitimately leveled a Pokémon up to level 100. It was the hidden Magmortar available in the PAL release of Battle Revolution. My second-ever legit level 100 Pokémon was instead my story-team Milotic in Omega Ruby.

My first Lv. 100 is my Empoleon then my Rayquaza then my Lugia then ly entire Pokemon X Team and then my entire Pokemon Black Team.

I might go and EV Train my entire Pokemon Black Team as it is my favourite team and I want to use it in Online Matches.

So I'm looking for the legendary bird trio that nintendo is giving out this month. You had to be a pokemon trainer club member and be signed up for their online newsletter, before April 22. If any of you guys have them, I'd like to trade. Oh and while I'm at it, Zygrade event over wifi is available right now as is Darkrai at EB games and Gamestop.

So I'm probably a bit behind here, but I'm planning on running through Platinum with only 1 pokemon.

I did it in FireRed with Charizard which wasn't too difficult(I think he was around lvl. 80)

I just chose Chimchar as my starter, not sure if I'm gonna stick with him or try something else out. Let me know if you have any suggestions for what I could use.

I used to do that but I found it much more appealing to run a team of 6 Pokemon in even levels throughout my journey. Spread the love and makes the later game much more easier.

Also for those in the U.S. (sorry @Danny) they are releasing these along with Zygrade, so watch out for the dates.

  • May 11–17: Shiny Xerneas
  • May 20–26: Shiny Yveltal
I already have the Xerneas from a Japanese trader, I use to deal with on purplesurge, a IRC chat server that hosts pokemon trades. Since I collect event pokemon primarily.

Note to self, don't use Wonder Trade . I've done about 50 of them and I've ran into some really bad trades (for the other guy I mean). I got a level 31 Latias from a wonder trade. Also got a level 100 Raikou.
In addition, I now have a Shiny Dustox on my Omega Ruby after randomly running into a shiny Wurmple in Petalburg Woods.

Wow, this article is assuming that these fakemons made by someone at deviant art is leaked official artwork and even though it says that it might not be real, the person who made the article didn't even realize the user who made this said it was fake.

I love how the Grass starter is a dual type from the get go like Bulbasaur.

I love the Water Starter like always :D, though did they watch to much Yugioh ARC-V? It looks like a Performapal Monster. Just hope it doesn't evolve into a Gay Clown.

As for the Legendary's, either a Lion or a Bat? While I'm not keen on either animals the Pokemon do look very well made :).

Do you guys think there'll be a Post-Game story involving Zygarde and all of its forms, since there was never a Gen VI game that focused on the Legendary despite its other forms being revealed before the reveal of Sun & Moon?

Ideally, yes. Its possible that this new region could be an island off the coast of Unova thus giving way to some sort of tie-in.

The new region looks like its based off Hawaii. The way how the environment looks and also some of the clothing the NPCs are wearing seems like it.
