Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

It has been announced by The Pokémon Company that new versions of Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire are to be released on the Nintendo 3DS this year. These games, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are coming November 2014 worldwide. The press release lists these games as a fresh take on Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire and states "The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world. "

Now I can get a non-shiny Swampert (I don't trade for starters unless I really have to). I'll be getting Alpha Sapphire.
 
Didn't know this topic existed. Other wise would have been here more often.

My original Y game is compete (the one I bought on release day - 718 Nat.Dex) - I am one of the few who don't restart any games, instead I buy new games (have 4 of Y and 2 of X) so I can play with various teams.
My original team consists of: Delphox, shiny Mienshao, Lucario, Vaporeon, Sylveon, Watchog
IGN as Maria - I'm not always online, when I am, always open for battles.

My 3DS FC is almost full, have about 3 or 5 left over spaces,
3DS XL Friend Code:4871-3995-3493 - Steel Safari: Magneton Skarmory, and Excadrill

As for the new OR & AS I will pre order as soon as possible.
 
With my daughter being born and me being on bonding leave I have been hitting the gyms pretty hard in X and just last night caught my first ever legendary without using the master ball last night. Pretty proud of that myself haha.

I just bought a 3DS today, and I got a pre-owned copy of Pokemon X. To my delight, the previous owner has finished the main story, so I guess I'll just finish it off, transfer her Pokemon to Pokemon Bank and begin anew.
 
Guys, I have a question. Would it really be worth the ~$165 (New 2DS and Preowned X) for X and later on Alpha Sapphire?
 
I would recommend getting your hands on a 2ds first. I did the exact same thing a couple months ago, and while I enjoy it, the 2ds feels very cheaply made. I certainly got around the fact, but I know some people might not be able to so easily.

If anyone wants to friend me, let me know. I believe my Friend Safari is bug.. I'm not to fond of that haha.
 
Go for it, I really enjoyed Ruby and Sapphire, they were my first two Pokemon games.

Also, yesterday I got a Torchic in a Wonder Trade! :D
 
I have a couple of torchic from wonder trading. Also got a boat load of stupid froakies.. Why are there so many of those?

Also got a Ho-Oh from wonder trading as well :D

Edit: would anyone be willing to help me out evolving my Feebas? Just need a quick trade, then trade back.

I've restarted Pokemon X after transferring the previous owner's Pokemon to Pokemon Bank. I named my character Gilles after Gilles Villeneuve.

One of my friends owns a 2DS, I agree its not the best but truly the 3D would be a waste and hurt my eyes so I'd rather save a few bucks and keep my eyes. Anyways I think I will be going though with getting it. Hopefully i'll have a good friend safari! Thanks for the advice, Froakie here I come! :D
 
Never mind the 3D, which you can switch off, the Clamshell design of the 3DS XL is worth it from a protect your system perspective and is worth the extra money in my view.

I agree with this. After a few weeks of the 2ds I was second guessing my purchase. I am now content, but I wouldn't mind the 3ds XL now. I was short on cash at the time, so that's what stopped me.
 
I prefer the 3DS to the 2DS also, the 2DS looks a bit impractical.

Right now, I'm doing a Nuzlocke challenge. Luckily, none of my Pokemon have "died" yet, and I've just reached the Day Care Centre.
 
Hey guys, Never played any other Pokemon game asides from Pokemon X for the 3DS. I've heard about Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire already, what should any of you recommend?
