Wait what!!!!! I'm a bit confused, the trophy says DEFEND the championship for 3 seasons, I understood that to be 1 season to win the series, then 3 more defending it.

So even if I do that are you saying I won't get the trophy? :lol:

Ah, well, even if that turns out to be true I still had fun with the Clios.

Right you are: defending three times means 4 championship wins, but it has to be tier 8 or higher...
So, no....;)
 
Well seeing the main suggestion thread over at the PCARS forum wasn't updated anymore since a week after launch, i decided to make a new one that limits you to your 3 most wanted features/ improvements only :

I was just thinking... I've done 3 seasons in career mode, each time I've driven the Clios for the same team and can't remember getting an invite to a different team in the same series. Is this something that happens or no? I would love to turn out for one of the other teams.

I started a new career in Karts and did every race at 1% with 70% difficulty. I'm now in the Superkart world championship still racing everything at 1% but with 80% difficulty.

Hopefully I can skip to GT4 or higher. I really don't want offers from the Clio Cup or Formula Rookie.

I was also fascinated that the 2nd top finisher in the Kart One Championship moved up with me to the Superkart UK Championship. But he finished last in Superkart UK. Guess he wasn't ready.

Bad news. I received like 6 offers. 2 Clios, 2 Formula Rookies, and 1 or 2 Superkarts. I think I'll take the Clio's. Never done them.
 
Not really bugs or error in strict term, but affect accuracy in brake simulation. IMO, based on my observation, the ABS system in PCars is too perfect or should I say flawed when it comes to replicating real life ABS performances. The physics engine runs in 600Hz, which is nice, but the ABS brake physics model also appears to run in the same frequency and I seem to doubt that the Pcars has slip ratio included in ABS system or the slip ratio limit may be far too perfect. Most ABS systems runs in 10Hz to 20Hz range in real life, which resulted = almost too perfect ABS performance in pcars with 600Hz.

I have been done some edits on a Assetto Corsa mod car - helping a fellow member here, and saw in the car file, AC specify the ABS refresh rate / pulse frequency and slip ratio limit which is about 0.20 for max braking ( AC allows slip ratio curve lookup as well ) in the electronics.ini, independently, this should be implemented in Pcars. When I first play Pcars, I left ABS on for a few laps, and immediately noticed the ABS over the top effectiveness on road cars ( Evo X, 1M and R8 ).

I haven't tested GT3 cars ABS in Pcars, they may be adjustable, but since it runs in 600Hz as the physics engine, then the ABS will still be too perfect, which is closer brake assist in GT6.

I'll give SMS points for trying to get the engine sounds right, but it's a bit of a mess. Hoping to see this greatly improved in part 2.

Why do the brakes always squeak by default? That's not normal.

Assigning buttons is really pissing me off, every time I change something it wont't let me save it and exit. It keeps telling me that not all of the required controls are assigned, but I don't have enough buttons for all of them!!!🤬🤬:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

After assigning your buttons, press options,select options help, and press the circle button.Your button assignments will be saved.

BTW, how would you say the visuals compare to the X1 version, if by any chance, you've played that too?

PC visuals are only limited to your GPU specs for the most part. It could be worse/same/better than either console depending on your video card (assuming you have a competent CPU which most do).

I haven't played the X1 version, but to be honest I probably wouldn't notice any graphical differences unless they were pointed out to me, unless they were glaringly obvious.
 
Has anyone had a minor bug where you lose a wheel, click return to pits, then the wheel never actually shows back up? Doesn't really affect anything performance wise but the visual wheel never comes back for me.

Yep, it's there in X1, not sure about PS4 or PC.

Though I haven't tested this out since the latest patch; I've kept damage off for now to get a complete feel for physics and all the various cars.
 
I'm trying to wrap my head around P.Cars' physics and the DS4 isn't making anything better... Default settings, no dice. Slight adjustment, no dice. I can't even correct a slide in this game!

Also, how the heck do I accept invitationals and also how do I set a livery because each time I set one it changes.

I want to like Project CARS but it's starting to get on my nerves now. Any advice?
 
Invitationals will pop up in your career calendar, you don't need to do anything. When it gets to the date of the invitational, you can either enter it, or skip to the next event on your calendar.

Can't help with your DS4 problem as I use a wheel.

You can't choose a livery in career mode, it's whatever livery the team you drive for are using.

Honestly, it seems as though they don't care about the ds4 users as much as wheel users (even though wheel users still don't get good default setups).

Don't they say the opposite for Forza? Developed primarily for pad users and the wheel guys lose out? I was watching some F6 footage last night and there isn't even 1:1 mapping on the wheel but I'd put money on the pad being completely fine for racing.

I've reset my pad to default settings, decided to just grind my teeth and deal with it.

Well, I guess for console users this game could be seen as much more serious than forza or gt. Maybe they originally thought the pad users wouldn't buy the game the way wheel users do. However with a million sales, a large portion of that must be pad users

Also, if you tried a g27 on default settings and loved it, go for getting a wheel. Someone here on gtplanet created an android app with all the jack spade settings and extras and it makes the wheel much better. Plus on ps4 you will also have a gran turismo coming, dirt rally sometime, maybe an f1 game that will be good, and the eventual pcars 2. If you can afford it, you will never want to go back to the controller

Can this be replicated in PCars? Meaning, choosing the AI cars to make a one make grid like this on PS4.
