I'm sorry you lost your motivation, maybe we interfered too much in your idea of a championship.

I wanted it to be a team effort and that's exactly what I got. That's definitely not the reason.

To put it bluntly, I'm bored to death of GTS and the league thing was a desperate attempt at rekindling some interest. If it's something you lot want to use or refine to your tastes, it's fine with me as it's a project all of you have had an input in. Either with enthusiasm, testing or both.

I'm going to get a few more driving games so I can get more use from the wheel and I'll probably pick GTS up again if they bring in more tracks.

I'll still be in this thread though. You won't get rid of me that easily.:D

EDIT: The reply function didn't work, replying to the Bonester.

Superb mate, bet you have many a fine tale to tell from seeing all the greats in their day. Sad to say I've never been to an F1 race. Did see a Forti I think it was at Knockhill about 20 odd years ago. Smashed the lap record warming up. The noise was deafening. You could see the crowd all round the circuit putting their hands to their ears as it passed, remember the racket when it braked...Horrendous.

They brought 2 but could only get 1 to start. Was it Martin Brundle who once quipped he thought there were forty of them on track because of how many times he passed them?

Did you ever go to the GPs at Brands? Be so jealous if you did.

That's understandable, the lack of tracks is a right so & so. This morning when the new daily races arrived I shouted out loud "AW GET TAE F...!". Suzuka again. I've went right off that track in the last couple of years for some reason.

PC 2 has more tracks than a junkies arm. It's rubbish with a controller but hear it's the bees knees with a wheel, same for Assetto Corsa.

Couple of times, plus sportscar races there - friend and I had a narrow escape there once, when a rear wheel came off a car, and bounced right in the gap between us

A very lucky man in both respects, didn't get injured and got to see a GP in what I consider Britains best race track. Oh I'm so envious.

Was going to take my PS4 over to the lads place tonight for some drink driving but it's no happening. Been sober far too long and just opened a bottle of Whyte & Mackay. If I start telling daft jokes like, "It's being reported that a psychic dwarf has escaped from a maximum security hospital today. Police are said to be on the lookout for a small medium at large." you'll know why.

One of the reasons for boredom in a racing game, in my opinion, is the lack of commitments.
In GTS, if you do not have the ambition to increase your parameters up to SS, the daily races become a lottery to which I participate reluctantly.
Maybe the FIA Championship can be an incentive, just because it's a league.
My schedules on Tuesdays at 6pm (Geezer Open) Saturday at 14.30 (geezer) and, when I can, Sunday at 14.30 (geezer Open), make the game still a lot of fun for me.
Sure if there were more tracks it would be even more . But also the professional riders always run on the same tracks, depending on the categories of membership.
I read long ago "I miss the Q.M.", I do not think it is difficult to organize a day, a time and a room to make 10 races of 3/4 laps on the same track.
Anyway, it's just the thoughts of an old man.

We've come from 41 tracks and 80+ (86?) variations in GT6 down to 18 tracks and a ridiculous 54 variations in GTS. Strip the rally stages, Horse Thief Mile, the BB and Blue Moon ovals from that to get 12 tracks and 36 layouts.

I can forgive a reverse track but squeezing 8 pseudo tracks out of one, 6 out of another and 4 or 5 out of a few more on some of the least inspiring tracks I've ever seen is way beyond lazy I'm also the fool who only sticks to the blacktop so my lap times will always be off the pace. My last race at Maggiore proved that and that's my favourite track out of GTS...

My biggest gripe about the new tracks is that they lack any personality. PD have hired the world's best tarmac layers and have made the smoothest tracks ever.

I can see the appeal of GTS for the hot lappers as there's not a lot to learn but as I've said before, I hate hot lapping. I really hate having to wait for races to start to try and convert those hot laps too.

GT5 & 6 are getting dusted off for a run, AC and PCars are on the shopping list and I've got Dirt Rally already. It'll be good for me to look elsewhere as I've stuck with GT forever and never had anything else to compare it to. The future's rosy.👍

We will continue with yesterdays experiment. We found that even though there was about a 2 second advantage from the Toyota, Pepper didn't seem to have a problem :)

I chose these two because they get very little love in the dailies, and because I like to hear Gary groan :)

Gr. 4 - you will need these two cars, we will run RM's this morning: no boost
McLaren 650 S
Ford Mustang

You must change the car after each race.

Sorry for the late post,
Eric is back next week, in the meantime -
we will start at the German GP

Congrats to Lewis, Kimi and Checo and all of their fans, I'm thinking of you @Mwerte and @bone_tone .
Nice face morphs above :), to be honest that mustache makes MV look a bit idiotic, ...
so all in all it fits him quite well :sly: !

I've been absent here for days now though I was steadily reading. It's not that I'm upset by anyone of you or GTP, however, I can't find enough fun in playing the game atm and I even don't know why exactly. So as long as I'm battling to get back my motivation, pls don't worry about me and allow me to hide away a little. Whatever trick it takes to get back into racing, I'm ready to use it :boggled: ...

I'm with you, guys.

Good to know you're still there - come back when you feel ready

You could try getting a DR/SR reset, as happened to me last week (rammed 3 times in one race, 10 seconds penalty each time!). At that point you either give up, or fight back....

I chose to fight back, got my SR rating back to S at last. Actually had some fun doing it, some good races, and managed to avoid the idiots on my way!

That is what I try. Sometimes I go strange ways and do strange things, guess this is one of these situations to do so. One of my dreams is getting rid of all this DR / SR thinking  !
I must admit I'm now less focused on it than I was, I enjoy racing and I've had some great races at all levels of DR and SR over the last week (I assume that some of the drivers I met were in the same position as me) - for me it's just important that I feel comfortable with how cleanly I race, as I'd hate to be considered a dirty driver!

I have no problem allowing a person to pass me, as long as it's clean. Then the SR goes up, and in the S class, the people drive better, and thus the racing is better. Then work on the DR, which takes a fast qualify, and don't mess up. That's been my path.

Occasionally I have the, whoops moments though.

Been on the receiving end of some bogus penalties before, but, whatever.

So as long as I'm battling to get back my motivation

Remember the days of turning up to a QM and not knowing your level of opponent, rather than GTS's forgetting to breathe and blink for 5-14 laps? I miss those days. I want relaxing races back. I don't care if I finish at the back, front or anywhere in between. I don't want a racing career or drive in esports and I don't look at the people above me and think, I'm going to be that good one day. I just don't care.

I bought GTS for the matchmaking/ranking but now I've got it, I can't handle it. Too tiring racing where the goalposts constantly move away from you and often at a pace you've no chance of keeping up with. I'll leave it for the more competitive people.

Give me a nice and relaxing mixed grid of all skills and manners, along with names I actually recognise and where I know how they drive from previous races. That'll do me.

Perhaps I should take up bowls, or maybe dominoes? Knitting! That's it. I'll take up knitting.💡

Yours looks like a gentle climb of the foothills, compared to my exploration of mountain peaks and valleys!! - http://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=1081463

Managed to raise my DR by one point today

Still early days for you yet :)

Digtater ,My sentiments exactly .Burnout and fatigue take a lot of fun out this game ,I don't post very often ,but your post hit the nail on the head .My plastic T-150 wheel could not take the stress .LOL .So I'm on hiatus for a bit.Best regards viper9-al_:gtpflag:

Been doing the Daily B qualifying yesterday to learn the new track ... and I admit this is a great one, Croatia seems a good place for cool race tracks 👍.
Took some time to get into these left-right-left combos, and I think I've at least found out how to tackle the first one. There's still some tenths in it ... the track surely is a blast if you can manage to nail it.
I'm curious though how racing there turns out with these deadly curbstones between T2 and T4 :scared:, could be the 'Bus Stop' of the DT Gardens layout.

Did anyone else notice the room was a bit buggy with the laptime registration. To be honest I'm not sure whether my PB was correct :odd: ...

Your replay was online though .
Oh dear, how embarrassing!

Couldn't get on with the track at all, it doesn't seem to have a natural flow to it - won't be racing there unless forced to!

I've noticed the penalties seem to have eased since the last update - got rammed at Brands a few times today, and didn't get one penalty (didn't compensate for the fact that I had to keep digging myself out of the sand though!).

Now there's a name from the past. Good to hear from you.:D

I like the game for how it pushes you to try and improve but I don't like the game for how it pushes you to improve.

Its natural flow makes you run your left front wheel straight onto the first killer curb :scared: .

Btw do you have a slang term in England for tarmac bumps on the road forcing cars to slow down ?
