Looks like it will be streamed 11AM UTC this Sunday. Hopefully there will be new news.

I honestly have no idea what to expect from this. This all feels a little weird considering the rumored GT7 media event (which seems to be something big) coming next week. Two major GT7 related events in such a short time is a little suspicious. Either way, I'm somehow excited for this event on Sunday.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume its something small like a new car reveal or track gameplay trailer (if even that). I seriously doubt they are going to reveal a new major trailer or something at a Chinese Game Expo, when they could just wait for their State of Play presentation a week or two out from release. That is where I expect all the singleplayer info will be presented. Keep your expectations in check, and you won't be disappointed.

Very curious about this but i'm keeping my expectations in check.

I still think the final info dump will be done in a State of Play so anything out of this is a bonus for me.

Since it's 1 hour of event I expect some new info about the game and some footages, but nothing too major. Some new info definitely (few cars, tracks, singleplayer info etc.) but not a new major trailer definitely. I don't know, what will the media event show? Maybe some minor things like in the one tommorow?

Just because they are all an hour apart doesn't mean each event will last the full hour.

I'm fully expecting them to just show all the trailers and BTS videos we have already seen, go over pre order bonuses and that's about that.

If you think they're going to debut a new trailer or even new extended gameplay at a localised Chinese game show you're gonna be in for a disappointment I'm certain.

Different countries I assume. Regional marketing is important for a global franchise.

Somehow, I wonder why this isn't on GTP's news section yet, considering I have feeling the Elden Ring hype train is likely also going to expect something from this.

I would guess they will wait to see if there is actually any new information or not when it happens tomorrow.

I want to see what the dealership(s) look like

Maybe it's everything we have now (video wise) and just 30 minutes of talking? lol

Thank you!
You're welcome. Not enough of my fellow Americans have any idea of the history behind modern China and the formation of Taiwan. And yet, it feels like this "hidden history" stares at them in their faces. For example, the emblem of the fighter planes used by China against Imperial Japan in WWII are virtually the same as the "sun" on the modern flag of Taiwan. I have heard Chiang Kai-Shek was a controversial leader at best - supposedly banning Mark Twain books for his name sounding too similar to Karl Marx - so I'm not entirely sure if he would've been better than Tse-tung. But one thing I know is that the political cultures of the RoC and PRoC are too different to be part of the same nation. I would say the same of Hong Kong - it, too, deserves a special independence. Could it be that Xi Jiping is trying to pin town a bunch of tiny islands out of fear? The fear that his influence is built on a Soviet-styled facade?

EDIT: I know I'm going on a tangent, but I believe it would help Taiwan if Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution was repealed by the Diet. We Americans wrote that constitution at the end of WWII - and I'm thinking of writing to my federal lawmakers to encourage the US government giving an "under-the-table" endorsement of Article 9's repeal.

EDIT: And I'd also love to visit Taipei someday, I hear it's very lovely. Don't Trilobite Beetles live on the island, too? If so, I'd love to photograph one.

While I also don't expect any major announcements given the rumored dedicated media event, previous Taipei Game Shows have actually shown some new content. TGS 2014 saw Yamauchi himself reveal some new info about GT6 updates, TGS 2017 had an updated GTS demo, and Yamauchi even hinted at GT7's existence first at TGS 2018. Taiwan even got its own GT5 trailer and media event right before launch in 2010.

So besides the fact that Taiwan is not the People's Republic of China, our game show is also more than just some "localized game show".

But still, do remember to keep your expectations modest.

EDIT: From the stream admins over the YT chat (hence the expectations thing):
This is going to be more like a show instead of a new info release. There is exclusive content for Taipei Game Show of course

May I ask where did you heard of such rumored event?

As to be expected, still might see some new footage perhaps. Gonna keep my eyes on this, but expecting the major stuff to drop next month 🏁
