good luck finding out what it says ;)

Surely it would have been easier to say it's 62.6°F with a 12mph wind in Ft. Lauderdale...

Back in Simple Town, it's -13°F with a high of 8 for Monday.

Thursday can't come soon enough.

I had to travel on country roads today. With blinding snow drifts and really snowy roads, it made my trip back to my college a lot more interesting that usual.

Don't you mean a 12 knot wind from 2-8-0 degrees, gusting to 23 knots? Don't forget to set your altimeter for 29.81 inches of mercury TB!

Looks like the clouds will be clearing up in Fort Lauderdale.

35C tomorrow now. (95F) :) Still no real summer weather and still back into the 20's next week, but tomorrow will be nice. :)

Three inches of snow last night and a high of 23°F. Wednesday is supposed to be only 9°F.

But I got lucky. My brother and the eastern part of the state got what they called blizzard-like conditions.

Of course, none of this compares to up in the Minnesota area.

TB, do you need to borrow a tan-tan?

Should be close to freezing tonight. Scary thought since my car doesnt have antifreeze since i was fixing the cooling system yesterday and ran out of funds.

35C and a bit windy, "Catastrophic" fire danger today. If today is catastrophic, what's it gonna be when summer really comes around?

I hate the weather people here. At noon today, they said it would snow at five. At five they said the snow was going to start at 11. Now at 11:30 they say it'll start at 6. Looks like they're trying the Seattle trick of just predicting rain sometime in the future.

So much for that 12 inch snopocalypse that was supposed to happen Sunday and today...

The forecasters here are hopeless. One day it's gonna rain on Friday, then it's not. 3 days of 35C+ were changed to a max of 29, and that day only actually reached like 24.

Got in my car this morning to find this:

And the wind chill is about -10°F and tomorrow night we are expecting freezing rain over night followed by snow. Driving to work Thursday morning should be a blast. I need to treat my driveway before then. It i supposed to get up to 30°F tomorrow, so probably then.

The 402 Hwy near Sarnia, Ontario, Canada is closed. Motorists have been stranded in snow, some for up to 24 hours. They have declared a state of emergency and the federal government has sent Hercules Helicopters to rescue stranded motorists.

Didn't you say that cause of the heart condition you couldn't do any yard work?

I'm meant to be karting this Saturday however the news weather report on tv says on thurs night we will get about 5 inches, however online everywhere it says we will only get sleet even on the website from the people who do the tv report saying snow. I'm confused, I want snow cause then no school friday but then I would rather go to school on friday and get to go karting saturday rather then not do both.

After the transplant. And that is due to molds and stuff, which don't like cold and salt much, I don't think.

Either way I am fine to do stuff now so long as it doesn't wear me out. I'm just going to throw salt or something stronger on the drive.

Where is this highway you speak of? Oh, that's the point.

Rule of thumb: It's not strong enough unless it's eaten a canyon into your driveway come spring.

I like the stuff that requires gloves and audibly causes the ice to start crumbling on contact. Calcium chloride I think? My parents always used that.

Burrrrrrr! We're having a cold-spell here in SoCal. The weather dropped a good 10 degrees in the last day, or two. It's around 74. I actually needed a blanket over me when I slept! Damn, that's cold! I'm toughing it out and still wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

"Burrrrr" is when there is a "-" infront of the temp and you need multiples of blankets even if the heats on.:sly:

Currently it's a tropical 7F, feels like 0.

I'm with SL, we got into the upper 60s(F) this week. Finally got to break out the sweaters, and might actually wear one. Not because I need it, just cuz they look cool!...

(although it will get into the upper 40s(F) tonight, but I won't go out in that kind of weather; that would be crazy) :sly:

Oh weird, its 5 here....the low today is going to be apparently 0.

Thats almost where I need to put some pants on but usually im wearing shorts...that and a leather jacket.:)

In Portland it's rainy, windy and cold for the next 6 months and if we are lucky, sprinkle in some snow. Oh, and the A/C keeps kicking on in my office

Apparently we are to be prepared for masses of snow later in the week... Great :indiff:

There's never been a "-" in front of the temperature here (Celcius) but I am still in that scenario in winter. :dopey:

I guess California has our sort of climate, where anything under 25C or 80F is cold. :)

Looks like we might be getting some of that this time but I absolutely guarantee that our council will not be able to cope with it!
