For some reason, honking is considered offensive here.
That and half of the drivers start wondering "Who is honking at who?" and start looking around when they hear a honk.

That's because your family is poor.

Those in L.A. and Boston would beg to differ. No, I'm talking about annoyingly-polite Washingtonians.Americans![]()

Honking is how we say hello to people in Australia. When they are walking past or you drive past someones house.
Why would you want to move to Alaska if you hate cold?Right now, its 18F, with a chill making it feel like 6F, with a 65% humidity. i hate the cold... yet im moving (knock on wood) to Alaska. hmm
This morning though it's almost 40 and raining steadily. It's also quite foggy so I got to be cheeky and use my rear fog lamp. The road OK now, just really slushy from all the rain.
You should have tried driving home after dark with the cold front (ie, big winds) moving in. Everything was a sheet of ice up here, the road commission apparently taking a break not only because of the warm temperatures, but also Christmas as well.
Fail all around for the Kent County and Grand Rapids road commissions.
I'm confused about the weather patterns here...
And you call yourself a Michigander.

We've gone from 60 and rainy, to 30 with 6 inches of snow, to 40 and sunny in a matter of 36 hours. Looks like we are due for more snow here tonight though, I'm getting kind of sick of it.
That sounds like typical Michigan weather, it was 82 yesterday and today it was only 60 with temps dropping to 39 tonight. We need rain though, I want my lawn to start looking good.
Really? I remember last winter we had days that went from 30 to 60.
