Miserable. I'm not sure which feels worse: inside or outside. Oh well, at least we're breaking records ;).

That's the big problem with the heat here. Nobody has air conditioning here so there's no escaping the heat. I remember the days when there was a combined total of maybe a week's worth of days where the A/C would be on a year...

I'm hoping this isn't becoming a trend here. :scared:

We have a nice breeze coming in off the sound now, so it's cooled down quite a bit from earlier in the day.

No air conditioning!? I couldn't live without air conditioning when it gets to 45+C. :ill: It goes over 40C probably a weeks worth of days here every summer, and sometimes over 45. :ill:

I couldn't tell you what it's like without being sued by a Scottish pop band. :(

I want my Test cricket, it is the middle of summer, and Birmingham is wetter than a babies first nappy of the day. :(

92% humidity
90*F/74*F
60% Thunderstorms

We've had afternoon Thunderstorms the past two days, sounds like war outside with all the thunder, looks white outside with the torrential rain, happens from like 4:00pm-7:00pm -/+ every day.

It's not that bad at all pretty comfortable for this time of year.

Washington looks like it sucks right now. 100 degrees? Seriously? I think we traded weather...I blame Philly.

Here it was 55 when I work up this morning and is supposed to get up around 80 by midday. It really needs to rain as my lawn is burning up, unfortunately there is nothing in the forecast.

None of these are going to catch you? I suppose even if they do, it won't be enough rain to do much.

It's 58° and 86% humidity now. High of 73 today with spotty showers expected for the next few days. With all this rain, I might actually have to mow my lawn for the first time this month!

It's 64, cloudy and COLD! Wow, I hope this weather lasts. But, it looks like it wont. Sunday is supposed to be 98. Today, it will be 82. Perfect!

Gotta change my avatar...

I already did blame me... I haven't seen Seattle weather in Seattle in probably a year.

And you're worried about your lawn!? We've had maybe an inch and a half of rain since I got home on May 1st. And nobody here has sprinklers. And they don't water the forest so I'm a little concerned that the whole state is going to burn to a crisp at some point. Although I think they've gotten a bit more water up in the mountains than we've gotten in the city.

I think we're just getting some sort of weird currents through here this summer. Earlier there was a low pressure area off the coast causing us to get our air from Eastern Washington. Except the mountains that give us our rain took it before it left that side of the state.

I don't know apparently El Nino is in effect which is apparently throwing off the weather or something.

I think we are finally getting our first storm of the year.

Edit: And just like that it is over.

^ Came through here a few hours ago. Didn't last long at all. Half hour tops?

Now it's a nice 61. High tomorrow looks to be 70. Should be a good day for the Great Strides walk.

In Falkirk we have the same blanket of light grey clouds which we have now had for over a month. Surprisingly Warm at 18C though.

If you guys in Seattle are feeling the heat, go to Port Angeles or even more West, They are getting a nice Breeze according to GE.

Scotland had some of the best weather I've ever experienced when I went there a few years ago. Maybe I'll move there when I grow up...

We finally have some air movement going on around here. So my house has a pretty decent breeze coming off the sound. And it's cooled down a bit. In the hotter areas it's yet to get above 70 and it's almost noon. But then it's supposed to get hot again next week.

My area finally got our first weather alert of the year, unfortunately it is only a watch so I doubt we will get anything.

I went out of town thsi weekend and when I came home I had 2 1/2 inches of water in my rain gauge. Add that to the 1 1/2 from last weekend and that is 4 inches in a week.

And it is now official, Kentucky has had their first non-90 degree July in recorded history.

Um, I think we have a problem:

Downtown Louisville got 3-5 inches of rain in under two hours this morning. It has stopped for the moment, but we are still under a watch until 4:00 PM. The University of Louisville had to close and I have a couple of employees saying they don't know if they can get in.

Fortunately, I work in the suburbs about 10 miles outside of downtown and without the river nearby we didn't have the drainage issues they did.

EDIT: A couple of pics my friend's wife sent from Churchill Downs.

Yikes. And it looks very windy there as well. Hopefully everything will get back to nromal there soon enough. Did any of your cars drown in that?

It's 80 and humid, it really needs to rain. Looks like it's all tracking south though and probably hitting Kentucky as FK's show.

Luckily Frankfort got very little, so my wife's car is fine, even though she moved it to higher ground just in case. And my work parking lot has good drainage so there weren't any issues around here.

The funny thing is that when I got up this morning the fear was hail and wind. There was no mention of flooding.

RAIN!

We got a much needed full afternoon of rain today. But it's been so long that I've lost all of my wet weather driving skills. I've been getting wheelspin and understeer all over the place. And just now I almost understeered into a hillside and my ESP had to come to the rescue. That's pretty embarrassing for somebody who lives in Seattle and is supposed to be used to it.

And already we have people here who are all up in arms about it and threatening to move out blah blah blah because it always rains. I wonder if they know that we've had a drier summer than most of the rest of the country...

It was in the upper 80's to low 90's here yesterday and looks to be as hot or hotter for the next few days. Add rain into the mix and it'll be nice and humid, too.

I really hate this tropical weather. I usually leave my house to go to work at around 7:30-8:00am and the weather's a bit hot, but nothing too extreme. This morning I had some freelance work to do at home and I asked for the morning off, though I had to go out at 9:30am... the door was already blazing hot! It must've been at least 32ºC (90ºF), and that's before 10am.

After doing what I had to do, I headed for work and thankfuly the subway had A/C on, but once I exited it, I had to walk from there to work, which is about a 10-15 minute walk. I'm going to havwe to bring an extra t-shirt in my backpack... dammit, I was drenched! When I got here it was already 36ºC (97ºF), 80%+ humidity

Meh. It hasn't rained since that once, and it's not cold enough to warrant my leather jacket. It's the perfect temperature to irritate me.

Crazy pics, FK.

In SoCal, the weather has been typical, boring late Summer weather. A little more humid the last few days, and it's been hotter than the last two weeks, but still comfortable. I mean, it's hot, but you don't get drenched in sweat while retrieving the mail.

It's going to cool down for the weekend, too. Mid-Upper 80's instead of low to mid 90's like today and yesterday.
