I used to bring guitar picks for the off chance a girl might see them fall out my pocket and...well, girls like guys who can play guitar.

Wallet. Keys. Mobile phone. Car.
You leave your house with your car? Surely you leave your house, then get your car? So you don't actually leave your house with your car.

I'm never go anywhere without my house keys and my phone.

Car is on our land, if that counts. :p I never go anywhere without it, so I included it…

A beer bottle opener 👍

(This isn't a tactical necessity - it's merely literally true... as a birthday present, an ex-girlfriend gave me a beer bottle opener which looks like a key, and that you are supposed to put on your key ring... brilliant disguise, and I can't count the number of times that it has come in useful - although it has also been confusing when I've tried to open my front door with it a few times... )

I have a keyring bottle opener shaped like a hippo that I got from a cracker.

As the old saying goes: Spectacles, testicles, wallet, and watch. Also keys with a Leatherman Micra attached, cell phone.

I may take my iPod (if leaving for more than a 10 minute trip) and/or a black Pilot Precise V5 pen (if going someplace where I'm probably going to wait and be bored, or need to take notes).

Actually i could do with getting myself a bottle opener. Especially as I hate drinking from cans.

The bottle opener is supposed to be part of your belt.

One of the main reasons I got my Swiss Army Knife:

Constantly looking/asking for an opener gets old pretty quickly. 👎

Hey Tabs, I have the same torch as you on my keyring but it's red.

Maglites are great. I also keep a bigger one (the LED 2-Cell AA kind) in my car. That thing totally saved me when I got a flat tire a few weeks back.

Car keys (Don't have any house keys, I guess so if My mom was pissed at me or something.)
A Guitar Pick (Guitar = rad.)
My Cell phone ( Motorolla razr, blue)
My wallet has about 20 bucks cash in it at all times, my Debit card, my driver's liscense, and my CPR heartsaver card.(and I still remember how to do CPR too!)
In my car though, I have a bag of baloons, and a pair of swimming trunks.... Still don't know why.

Keys, Wallet, Clothing, Shoes, and my trusty guitar pick. I used to bring my MP3 player with me but I currently have no headphones. Oh ya, If I'm going somehwere where I'll be bored I'll bring my PSP with me.

You posted the same exact Swiss Army Knife I've had for about 23 years! I love that knife. I used to take it with me, but it's too special to take anywhere and risk getting it lost. I'm missing the tweezers, the tiny gray square seen at the top of the knife in your pic. On the opposite side, is a white square which is a tooth pic.

Hmmm, I wonder if I can get that tweezer replaced... *checks Google*

Me:

Wallet with I.D and other important items inside.

A pen and a notepad thats located handily in my pocket. (Helped me a few times for when you have to take a note.)

I used to bring duct tape with me to school. (Yeah, I don't know why either.)

I used to bring my SAK (Swiss Army Knife) with me everywhere but I lost the thing about a year ago. :(

I like to bring a book if I go to a doctor's office or at school.

And of course, I bring a pair of underwear.

Wallet (Loaded with lots and lots of cash)
Keys (House and bike lock)
Sunglasses (Either my hippie ones or my modern looking ones)
Hat (The one that makes me look like The Edge!)

Keys, Cellphone, Watch, Wallet, and Sunglasses. Somehow I left the wallet at home today though. That wasn't very bright considering it had my license in it! Whoops. No harm, no foul though. I got through the day without problems.

Wallet
Keys
Gum
MP3
Pen
Phone

That's basically it. I do keep some spare magazines in the car though for those annoying rush hour days.
:grumpy:

That’s the exact one I have, too (The Tinker). Wow, 23 years?? I guess I don’t have to worry about it breaking any time soon. 👍 👍

You can use a standard Bic disposable lighter as a bottle opener. It's a good way to impress people.

Yeah, I can do that, but I don’t smoke so I don’t always have a lighter with me. A buddy of mine can open bottles with his teeth (probably not a good idea).

Actually, mine is the Hiker. I have a branch saw on mine that wasn't in your pic. But, everything else is the same.

Yeah, mine is in great condition. Still closes and makes the same solid "snap" when it closes. But, there's a bit of dirt build up in there, but all the tools open up with no problems at all, and they're very clean.

Keep it well oiled, and it should last us a lifetime.

I take as little as possible, as I can't bear carrying around bulky items (pun wholly unintended.):) My keys are stripped back to a minimum, and a visa card in the pocket is often sufficient in the city. Although I frequently leave home without it, when practicable, I take this little fella:

Have you seen the video of someone using a piece of A4 paper as a bottle opener?

My colleague once showed me how to open a beer bottle using the closed lid of another beer bottle. Great until you get to the last bottle, but you can actually still do it with an empty bottle with the lid pressed on if you know what you are doing...

Nice geetar Sam - I'd agree about the Visa card (isn't that almost where this thread idea sprang from? The old 'American Express' advert that used to say 'Don't leave home without it' ?)

I know people who open bottles with their teeth, I never ask if they will, but if they offer, who am I to argue?

@TM- Sounds like an awesome party trick.
