I'm going to put this here:

Maybe not in February, but between January and July I think we could see something related to Pikes Peak in the game. Whether it's the Suzuki Escudo or the all new VW I.D. R or even the full course of Pikes Peak. Who knows.

Escudo is great, I guess. That thing seems wanting to fly lol.

The last update came out january 17th, so it's highly unlikely that there's an update at the end of january/beginning of february.
Instead i think the next update comes out february 10th-20th, or maybe even as late as the early days of march.

And here's my guess on the cars in the next update:

Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
Volkswagen Golf I
Opel Manta A
Nissan Micra (March) (the new one)
Toyota AE86
Toyota MR2 (1st generation)
Citroën 2cv
Škoda Fabia (new one)
Honda S2000

If there will be a GT award winner from either SEMA or Pebble Beach in the next content update, it'll be one of these four cars:
  • GoPro Rampage 1970 Camaro (2014 SEMA)
  • Ferrari 500 Mondial Pininfarina Coupe '54 (2012 PB)
  • Ford Coupe 'Bruce Levens' '51 (2016 SEMA)
  • Maserati A6GCS Spider '54 (2014 PB)
It would most likely be either the '70 Camaro or the '54 500 Mondial because these two cars have been skipped but if PD has decided to skip them again, then the next two in line would be the '51 Ford and the '54 Maserati.

What are the chances of these cars coming back?:

Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA 1600
BMW 2002
Isuzu Bellet (I think that's what it was called)
Datsun 510 (Bluebird, I think it was called in Japan)

I don't know enough about whether they were premium cars or not. I think these cars were awesome and would make for a great match up of classic touring cars to race against each other.

I know this isn't much of a "speculation" but I'd like to hear about what the chances could be of their return in GTS.

I had been wondering what the next standard to premium conversion would be. It'd have to be a popular standard car from the series past, not upgraded to a higher level of quality for GT6 and also not a Toyota or a Mitsubishi since Toyota is shaky for now and Mitsubishi is a mystery. Only cars I can think of from the japan region for now are:

1990 CRX SiR
Early model Prelude
EP Type Civic Type R
Mazda Cosmo Sport 110
Mazda Roadster 1800 RS (NB)

But we have seen european cars been converted before, the 996 GT3 and the E Type Coupe come to mind so those could open another can of worms with:

TVR Cerbera Speed 6
TVR Griffith 500
Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint 1600
Lamborghini Diablo GT1 (Another hidden car in GT3 for most of the world)
Alpine A310
E46 M3 CSL/GTR/whatever
Renault 5 Turbo

inb4 PD says "Screw your logic".

The Alfa 155 DTM that is speculated to come would probably be finished now...and then it gets lumped into Gr.4 purely due to its AWD drivetrain, or worse, dumped into Gr.X

The problem with the 155 is that there'd be nothing from its era to race it against, and would be out of place in the current category of best fit(GR4).

Personally I'd like to see early-mid Group A touring cars added (ie before the Sierra and Godzilla dominated everything).

Bruce’s Ford was scanned back in November 2017 (the tuning house that built it posted about it), I’ve been expecting it pretty much since the May update.

I have a theory around it, it’s probably a bit far fetched, though.Up until his recent passing, Bruce was a major icon in the car scene around western Washington, building a racing team out of his fortune made off of a waste disposoal empire. He had several rare Porsche race cars highlighting his extensive collection, and would often bring them to a weekly car meet at Redmond town center. The tuning house (Wicked Fabrications) still brings his ‘51 Ford from time to time, and it might be possible that PD and Wicked were colluding together to make a small event at the meet, with a few rigs set up inside the town center plaza next to the car around the same time it’s released in the game. This wouldn’t happen till around March or April, as the meets go into “off season” due to the frequent rain.

That last was probably a bit off topic for this thread but I just wanted to throw that out there.

I think these assumptions aren't that much intriguing at all..

I'm not making any assumptions, I simply made a joking response based on the fact that so many times PD has done what no one expected.

For what it's worth I think Pebble Beach cars are a great initiative, but PD can surely also position themselves to find original, mint condition classic production cars that are iconic and haven't been given the hot wheels treatment.

I have absolutely no issue with just about anything from Pebble Beach. Except for the fact just about everything there will cost $10 mil. and up on GTS.

I think most people here love the classics and that sort of collectors piece is always welcome.

Its SEMA people generally have an issue with.

Pebble Beach is like Monterey or Sothesbys or any of that kind of over restored spotless museum piece.

That Greddy 240z is an anomaly. You have to ask yourself how much of the GT6 SEMA catalog you actually remember and like.

For those who posted about Pikes Peak content being added to the game in the near future, something that should be of importance is the fact that the guy that for years managed all Pikes Peak Hillclimb Media stuff, retired last year in order to... work for Polyphony on Gran Turismo

Nope, not that, dude. :lol::lol::lol:

I was referring to the cars he mentioned in his post. For me, it seems not that interesting if it'd be one of those but hey, that's just me.

Well I really liked Mary Pozzi's Camaro and the TransCammer Mustang. For GTS I really like the Mach Forty and I'm looking forward to the 1951 Ford.

More classic cars.
‘Through things like Pebble Beach and the Mille Miglia I’ve just started to discover how great classic cars are; they’re fantastic. In the Mille Miglia I drove the Mercedes 300SL, for four days, 16 hours a day, at pretty much full speed. That was tougher than 24 hours of the Nürburgring but also fun to do.’

It does indeed fly.

‘That was a memorable car for a lot of people. I remember that car well – I’m actually friends with the guy who created that car, and built it. There was a bug in the game where you could drive along the wall in the Escudo and get up to 1000km/h or something!’

Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth '87 (N200)-highly requested, only below P1 with likes count
Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 '06 (N500)-Viper SRT10 rival, GT5P debutant
GOPRO Rampage Camaro 1970 SEMA 2014 (GrX)-there is at least one award winner in every update
Ferrari 500 Mondial '54 (GrX)-same as above
Cizeta Moroder V16T '91 (N600)-new brand
Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing '54 (N200)-In every GT game 300SL was featured in missions, licenses and so on.
Lexus LF-A Nurburgring Package '11 or base '10 (N600)-Very requested, its matter of time
Mazda Eunos Roadster '89 or '91 (N100)-most popular car of its kind (small roadster) and extremly popular Japanese car
Toyota Corolla AE86 GT-Apex '88 (N100)-very popular and requested
Toyota Supra '20 (N400) or GR Concept (Gr2)-New car
and finally
Peugeot 307CC AVN '04 (N100)-totally surprising and wierd choice

As for the tracks, fictional Kart Space, Autumn Ring, Midfield, Apricot Hill or Deep Forest, of real life Spa, Silverstone or Motegi. Some new variations could appear also.

Even Kazunori glitch's his own game!

Watching this Class S race at Bathurst right now. In the field are Pantera, C2 & C3 Corvettes, 240Z, '66 Mustang fastbacks. Cars in this race we don't have are the 928, 911 SC, Austin Healey and MG Midget.

I'm going to peg a 930 turbo for this month's update. I'm going against my feeling of not getting back to back Porsches. I think PD will crank up the Porsches this year.

As for other classics, Nissan could have a big showing as well. Remodelling the Datsun 2000 Sports Fairlady, seems like a possibility. The Kenmeri and Hakosuka Skhlines are standard premium in GT6. I think they'll come around mid year.

If only the Furai could be added to that list, but I guess some folks here wouldn't want to see that thing in the game again..

This month, for no particular reason, there'll be:
Mazda MX-5 NC (just to annoy us)
Jenson Interceptor
Zonda C12S
Suzuki Wagon R RR '99
Ferrari 456
Mini Cooper S Countryman '11

Next, toss a coin. Heads - Midfield, Tails - Ascari
Pikes Peak and related cars are waiting until June 30.
And so ends today's baseless speculation.

Forget more cars and tracks. It's quite apparent to me that after 18 months the game is crying out for a mid-life update/refresh. A lot of other developers do it (DICE with Battlefield interface etc) after a year or two to freshen the game up.

- Ability to sell gift cars
- Ability to automatically load to online daily races (i.e. in livery editor, then the game notifies you to go to the lobby)
- More XP achievements
- A penalty system that actually works

Started a New Game(10th time).

With TVR back in, decided to narrow my garage to the Gran Turismo 1 cars.

With the exception of some year models, we've got a good representation of the first game. Aston Martin has been in from day one. So, I included the road car and "RM/LM" versions. Maybe PD add the DB7 at some point.

From the GT1 car list, it wouldn't be out of sorts for the Corvette C4 Grand Sport to appear.
As mentioned in every speculation, NA MX-5/Eunos Roadster, AE86, EG6, Silvia, 3000 GT, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to also see FTO, Galant VR4, Griffith 500, Celica GT-4 and Subaru SVX.

Next 11 months will be interesting , to see what we get from the original game.

@mynameis66 Very likely. Kaz has hinted at having plans for this year like adding Formula E which will mean more DLC and updates, plus said he wanted to add 400-500 cars and we are a way off that, at current rate 11 more DLC drops would take the count much closer but still not quite there.

No announcements stating when the DLC is due to end have been made, so while it may stop later this year as always we will probably only know shortly before it happens, but given the plans I am expecting DLC most months this year.
