Right now, two Honeycrisp apples, which are probably the best apples I've ever had, and a cup of Roobios tea with a bit of pure cane sugar in it. Not a bad mid morning snack.

And this was a recent adventure of mine this past Sunday. I tried Ethiopian food for the first time at a restaurant called "The Blue Nile". I had never had it before and neither had my buddy, so on the way back from the Red Bull Air Races we stopped. Apparently you eat everything by pinching it between this spongy bread, it was sort of weird at first but ended up being pretty easy to master...I mean it's eating like you are 3 all over again. I really enjoyed it, especially the spicy beef and lentils.

Here's what it looked like, I know not that appetizing, but most food that looks awful is awesome.

Actually, most of that doesn't look half bad.

Lunch for me was leftover homemade pulled pork sandwich. Om nom nom nom. :lol:

:lol: In my defense, this was at midnight (I normally don’t eat after 8 PM), plus you haven’t seen the hot fudge sundae. ;)

It was tricky, but interesting as well. They weren't fluffy-pillow-like as the chinese buffet's char siu bao are, but I think that's because I didn't cut the shortening into the flour. I forgot and then put it in after I put my hands in the dough.

The filling I improvised was also pretty neat. Chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, ginger, and a sauce of oyster sauce, soy sauce, white zinfandel, and brown sugar thickened with some cornstarch. Tasted great on its own, except the ginger was strong. It didn't taste bad but it definitely had more presence than I intended.

All in all, not bad for a first try. I still want to try making some real char siu bao of my own.

I just woke up and had cheesecake for breakfast/lunch. Ah, college life…
 

On my first day at work they made me eat a table spoon full of that. I kept a straight face. It isn't really that hot.

Well, I do eat a lot of spicy food so it might just be like that one episode of myth busters where Grant and Tori ate Jalapenos and Grant was freaking out all over the place, and Tori didn't care.
 
Round 2: Dough and Filling Leftovers.

This time I put them on Al foil with a shot of Pam. Worked much better than wax paper. Stupid recipe probably meant parchment. I also meant to put a little bit of bbq sauce into the filling, but I forgot, so I mixed a little honey and bbq and put it on top.

Had some Johnsonville Chili Cheese Brats and some Cole Slaw. I like the Jalapeno & Chedder ones better as far as the "Bold" flavors go.


I'm planning a Bratwurst taste test this weekend featuring some flavor's that the meat dept. at my grocery store that I work at has. Supposedly the Blueberry and Pizza ones are good, they also have Northern and a couple other flavors.
 
General Tso chicken, white rice, an egg roll, and wanton soup. I haven't had good Chinese food in ages!

I haven’t eaten out in a while. I really should. I’ve been surviving on cookies and frozen potstickers the past few days.

To drink, I mainly drink water...I don't drink Alchohol at all. it's like...if you must drink something that taste like crap...at least it should be good for you, or if you must drink something that is not good for you in large quantity's, drink >V< or Red Bull! Before a good night of racing...it will give you wings.:D:tup:
If its noto water its Fruit juice or Milo.
