I am somewhat astounded at the rediculously large amount of posts that have been made in this thread...lol amazing.
Well, so far today I have had a piece of toast with...wait for you Aussie's...Vegemite! LMAO!👍 The world's greatest source of Vitamin B...thats important you know.:D
To drink, I mainly drink water...I don't drink Alchohol at all. it's like...if you must drink something that taste like crap...at least it should be good for you, or if you must drink something that is not good for you in large quantity's, drink >V< or Red Bull! Before a good night of racing...it will give you wings.:D:tup:
If its noto water its Fruit juice or Milo.
Peace,
R*

Impossible to dismiss alcohol as tasting crap, far too wide a set of flavours.

 Well, it’s a sorta-kinda apt description… from bottom-up, it’s grass jelly, ice, azuki beans, coconut ice cream, and condensed milk. The menu is mostly in Mandarin, so I think the English parts are just literal translations.

I’m surprised you’ve never had grass jelly…? It’s in a lot of Asian desserts (not just Chinese) – I’m not sure why it’s called “grass”, because it’s made from a type of mint leaf. It goes really well with the syrups used in said desserts.

Nope, never had it. I'm not a huge fan of azuki beans or mint jelly though. Actually, I don't think I've had many asian desserts. Not of a fan of dessert in general, and any asian dessert I've had I probably didn't like.

That Tea Station sounds interesting though. I've never had "Boba" either. My asian food experience is limited to sushi, dim sum, and entrees. I wonder how many of those places came out with Boba Fetts.

Ah, okay – I just thought that since you bothered making your own bao you were an Asian food freakoid.

There are a zillion establishments here very similar to Tea Station (as you can see by the “People Who Viewed This Also Viewed...” on the right-hand section of the Yelp page). In fact, there’s a Tapioca Express on the UCSD campus in the main food court – that sure made all the Asians here happy (otherwise, God forbid, they’d have to drive a mile south to the other Tapioca Express).

I like boba, but I rarely treat myself to it because it’s expensive for what it is.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a still freakazoid when it comes to the things I like.

Anyway, I gotta try all this stuff when I'm on the west coast. I wish I would've known earlier while my cousin was still at Stanford.

There's a place in Florida called Lollicup that serves Boba as an option for all their drinks. They're the funk in an Oreo milkshake. There's one by FIU and i've seen one in Gainesville, i'm sure there's one near Broward.

Okay, cool. Sounds interesting.

Went to Chon Ju Jip for some bibimbap (my friend was having cravings). The sauce was better than at other places I’ve had it and the pork was very good, although… fresh romaine? And does anybody know if it’s “wrong” to put banchan in bibimbap? I think I’ll try that next time.

Sage, eating? Again?
Nah, I fail to believe that! :p

That looks wonderfully good though. That'll have to go on the hitlist for my next SD trip! 👍

Haha, after I typed that post, I then ate cheesecake, then I was still hungry so I made a yogurt parfait with fresh raspberries and granola.
