Mainly beans. Brazilian feijoada uses black beans and mainly grilled beef and sausage. Portuguese feijoada uses either white beans or, as we call it, butter beans with cooked pork. There are brazilian versions that use pork as well.

The version I had used pork. 👍

Just had a leftover slice of pizza. It was 5 Cheese from the brand Culinary Circle. Hands down my new favorite frozen pizza. It had a thick and soft crust. Very heavy and filling. So I do not eat the whole thing in one sitting. And the cheese has a great flavor. Shop n Save is the only place to get them around here.

FINALLY a picture with quality as good as some other posters here.

Culinary Circle is SuperValu's house brand which is why you can only find it at certain stores. Their sausage pizza is extremely good for how much the pizza costs.
So, I have followed up on trying the 2nd Pizza. This one was a Mac n Cheese with Bacon Pizza.

Overall impression, it was a good pizza. The quality of the pizza stands out over anything.

The cheese. It was a cheese combo, but one of the cheese really had a familiar taste. I just cannot think of where I have had the flavor though.

The mac n cheese portion was not super abundant. And the pasta was a little over cooked unless it was buried in cheese.

The bacon was not bad at all. However there was not much of it at all.

The crust, as well as the last pizza, was phenomenal. Thick, soft, and moist. 7/10.

Had a gift card for Subway so I picked up a foot long Steak and cheese for $6.00. Ate half for lunch then the other half for dinner. This is the 1st half.

Last night I made cauliflower steaks with sautéed mushrooms and rice.

Last night I cooked coconut curry (alright... I opened a container of simmering sauce) with cubed chicken and peas over Jasmine rice with Naan. Holy hell it was delicious.

Just had a burrito that was at least a foot long and 2 inches thick. And that means exhausted, because it was delicious.👍

Hmm, I normally prefer around 70-75% cocoa but I would absolutely give that a try.
It sure does look enticing. 👍

They do a lot darker chocolate too. It's very smooth.

I only have Thursday's off. So, Wednesday nights I partake in drinking craft beer. Here are what I sampled. The Laurelwood Work Horse IPA was exceptional. Stones new session IPA was a real downer. Normally I love what they produce. I was let down by this offering.
I also enjoyed left over pot roast
Cheers

A Tombstone Diablo pizza - spicy chorizo, jalapenos, sweet red peppers, mozzarella cheese and sriracha tomato sauce.

@photonrider - I don't care what anybody says, Organic will always be one of my mainstays. Tastes great, goes with a lot of food, and never makes me feel like I'm carrying a weight in my stomach after a six pack, like other beers do. Now I want one - though in a bottle. :p

We started using Chef's Plate this week. Really tasty stuff. Tonight was Za'atar Spiced Steak with an eggplant, pepper, and chick pea ratatouille:

Endorse that whole-heartedly. Though I've never had more than one at a sitting.
I once drank 3 beers in the same night but it was a long night. :dopey: I could easily drink several of these though - they have a very high 'drinkability'. :)

Now I want one - though in a bottle. :p

Can never drink from a can unless out in the park or at a picnic - at home it must be in a glass. A can ruins the taste.
Somehow - IMO - canned beer never tastes as good as the stuff in a bottle. The darker the bottle the better.

_______________

Had some simple mac and cheese with sauteed hot-dogs the other day.
For fun. Gotta have the taste of it.
I think it's replaced popcorn as home-movie junk food.

I love me some Mill St. Organic, great stuff. Another beer I love for the same sort of reason (easy drinking, good flavour, not heavy) is Wellington Arkell Best Bitter, Ontario brewery and it comes in a blue can. Give it a try!

As for me I'm eating some leftover chili mixed with rice and chopped up hot dogs. Turned out to be too much rice so the chili is pretty diluted but oh well.
