You need Premo and a name change to Solid Casseroles.

You need Premo and a name change to Solid Casseroles.

 I do love my casseroles. So do the boys. I grew up on them. I made them when I first lived on my own. Make a casserole, eat one or two meals and freeze the rest. They're easy, cheap, good, convenient and filling.

Man burgers. What? You don't know what man burgers are? Then come with me.

First you need the ingredients.

Ok, take your 2 slices of bread and cut the edges off so you just have the soft bit in the middle, then put them in here

Take the out of the processor and put them in a bowl, peel your onion cut it in half and put that in the processor, add it to the breadcrumbs, then add a pinch of salt and some ground black pepper. Then add the mince steak, and bind it all together, until it looks like this.

Then take a chunk of the meat mixture and roll it into a ball and shape it into a burger, do this twice, like this,
3712ba1c3f660a5a93dd4404afc5804d_zps86000be9.jpg

Then add some cheese into the middle of one,

Then take the burger that has no cheese, place it on top and squeeze the edges into the bottom one, then shape it again, so you have one burger with a pocket of cheese,

Do this all again.

Then add them to this,

Now, while these burgers are cooking time to prepare your buns. I had to use bread because my buns were too small,

Sauces are optional.

Put it all together so you have this

Left one is tomato and right is chilli.

Keep turning the burgers and MAKE SURE THEY ARE COOKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Like this,

Then put them on top

And there you have it. Man burgers.
Also the beady eyed of you would have noticed, that that was a 400g pack of mince steak. That's 2 7oz burgers. Awesome.

Your burgers are burnt and look awful. Turn down the heat on your frypan next time.

Nope, they were awesome. I like them like that.

Also they were massive, and I was starving. Still good eating though.

You can still fully cook them without turning them into carbon by using a lower heat and cooking longer.

Tomato sauce is an abomination on burgers. It has to be chilli sauce, brown sauce, or worcester sauce (in increasing order of suitability). I can imagine those going beautifully with some Leffe beer.

Beef stew. Perfect on a day like today. Cold, dark, gray and windy with snow covering the mountains.

That's the ugliest burger I've ever seen. And pan fried burgers can be great, too.

Tortilla chips and hot salsa for lunch. Leftover stew for dinner.

Big bowl of Menudo, and wash it down with some Sunkist soda.

Hey, Mr. Mexican, I have a question for you. There was a really awesome little place around here about 6-7 years ago and they served what they called Chicken or Shrimp Don Pedro. It was tenders or shrimp lightly battered and fried with this incredible orange sauce. I need to know if that's a legit mexican thing and what that sauce is called. It was like a creamy texture... kinda like that bang bang shrimp sauce at Bonefish Grill.

Can you or anyone else help me out?
