BlameAuntJemimaThere is a new PS3 System update today. I wonder that if I update my PS3 would it update my GT5? I don't want to update my GT5 yet.
When has a PS3 system update has any effect on a GT5 update?

So you'd rather buy the cars than play the game to get them? I'm sorry, but did you know what the GT series is about before you got the game?...I hacked my game save's money just so I could get all of the cars without having to worry about money...and after I lose my 4 billion dollars, money won't really matter anyway, so I won't have lost much.

BlameAuntJemimaI don't know, that's why I asked.
I figured that if you updated the PS3 so that it would work online again it would also update your game data.
Already have, sadly. I lost my beauty, my baby, my pride-and-joy...A 1969 Camaro Z28 with a 2J engine (loved hearing her 8.3 litre Aluminum-Block Chevy V8 roar). And now, I'm forced to listen to the generic NASCAR engine sound the titanium racing exhaust makes, which is on like 50 other cars.
Good job PD...good job. You have successfully ruined your reputation with the realistic hybriding community.
lol!!!maybe he is, maybe he isn't!!!! Maybe overemphasizing your point with excessive punctuation and capitalization undermines it rather than makes it stronger when you don't explain why the delusional statement is actually delusional!!!!
That seems like a rather shallow thing to judge a post on. I wonder what Famine, Terronium-12 or niky would think.Thats some pretty text Tornado , I take you way more seriously now.
Ah, that's what I was looking for. Explaining your point rather than just dismissing others' out of hand without an explanation. To think that the Hybriding communitys reputation is anything in comparrison to PD reputation , is delusional.
I'd put a hell of a lot of money on R1600Turbo (as in the person who started this thread to say he won't be updating; who made it to, I believe, the finals of GT Academy one year) winning this hypothetical race, and I'm hardly a gambling man.Ive read a bit , but come on its 24 pages , mostly filled with hackers whinging about their over gripped and over powered cars bieng taken from them blah blah blah. This is my ps3 name , add me and Ill be happy to recieve that lesson fast-fulchHave you actually read anything anyone else has had to say or is this just an assumption you choose to carry around in ignorance? Inflammatory as it might be, I'll bite... if you want to meet me on any track and in any car once I have updated, I'll be happy to give you a clean and fair driving lesson. In the mean time, I suggest you do some reading or don't bother saying anything else.
And what does Turbo have to do with the Hybrid? He's just not updating. So what is your point? That seems like a rather shallow thing to judge a post on. I wonder what Famine, Terronium-12 or niky would think.
??.. Why would your bring them into this? This is your tiff.
Ah, Though there is certainly something to be said for the methodology that PD did deal with the hybrids (not even acknowledging their existence, and dropping a stealth patch on players that disables them entirely rather than just blocking them from online which was the real "problem" that affected others, and not even taking care to block the things that could more obviously be abused like the Super Soft tires) that calls to focus more general rumbles about PD's lack of external communication for why they operate rather than anything to do with this specific patch. And for sure that does effect their reputation as a developer.

Do you really think PD is going to hear what SOME of us have to say after this blunder? I don't think so. I know I wouldn't if I was the developer..

Seasonals are hardly 'grinding' as we know it, and with the PP difference bonus they can rack you up twenty million in less than twenty races. It's not like A-spec used to be with a far smaller payout. I did that the first time around, took me ten months to clear level 40 for both modes. Second time around I did it in just over four months using seasonals as well.I prefer to play through GT games personally, but maybe he is a casual player that just wants to experience all the cars and drive them when he can, not having to grind seasonals?

No I don't, which was kind of the point. PD don't communicate, and when they respond to something they don't do it consistently nor do they explain why they did it the way they did. That is their reputation, small reference pools or not, and the way that the hybrid issue was handled goes back to that.Do you really think PD is going to hear what SOME of us have to say after this blunder? You think Fulch is the first member the make the vague implication that the people who were hybriding were doing it to make up some deficiency with their driving? Because he wasn't, and R1600 already joked about it himself. And what does Turbo have to do with the Hybrid? He's just not updating. So what is your point?

There are games for you boys to muck with and mod. GT5 is not one of them , you are just gonna have to accept that its not welcome in this game. Try Rfactor on PC. This game is open to modders and you can mod and poke and prod all you want , then release your creation for the community to try. Sound good ? Leave GT5 alone and let it be the basic fair level racing ground that it is. There are avenues for you boys , you have just taken a wrong turn.
PD ruined THEIR reputation with the HYBRIDING community ????? are you seriously that delusional ????

oink83I'v seen "endless credit grinding" come up as an arguement against GT5 quite a few times here. Am I playing a totally different game to everyone else? I mean, you can make 5mil easily in about 15 minutes on a seasonal event. Where is all this grinding happening?
I mean, sure when the game first came out a few years back, the credits didn't flow so smoothly, but it hasn't been that way for quite some time. I'm legitimately confused in regards to needing to grind for credits.
I think we are definitely playing the same game oink - I do wonder about some of the others though judging by what they say...I'v seen "endless credit grinding" come up as an arguement against GT5 quite a few times here. I can make 100,000,000,000,000,000 credits by one click on my mouse too.
Ok, but not all of us cheat. My point still stands, even strengthened by what you have said. Credits are not a commodity in this game and haven't been for a long time. Anyone? Credit grinding?
I dunno. Why would I bring up 3 members of the site staff who always post using specific font colors in response to a member implying he judges a post differently because it was written in a specific font color?

So you like it easy a quick? What I was saying is that a lot of us have already played through the game. The seasonals are a way of quick credits, yes. But for those of us that are just looking to create now even seasonals are annoying. It's much easier to click the credits or gift ourselves any car to create what we are after. One thing I'm going to do tonight is create the 991 GT3 by taking the RUF RGT and putting the 458 trans in it and doing engine builds to get the HP and 9000 rpm redline.
If I didn't already have an RGT, I'd have to endlessly grind the UCD, or find someone who has one to trade. Instead, a few clicks and I'm there. So now I have time to do other things later than spend the entire evening looking for one car to halfway simulate what I'm after, instead in just a few minutes I have almost exactly what I'm after.
Except, you know, the fact that he was implying that the post color has anything whatsoever to do with the content of the post; hence referring him to the site staff that posts in other colors...Just because the use color fonts to respond to people remarks doesn't give you any reason to bring up their names in YOUR tiff.
Then what's the problem, exactly?Yes, we all know to well PD doesn't communicate very well the the fan base for reasons unknown.
STEP TUNING! STEP TUNING IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER!No he's not, I for one think that the whole deal is lame and still do. Yes SOME people redone the code so they could bring real world cars to the track buy putting the motor with the right HP and TQ numbers. That could have been done a long time ago if people didn't start building all there cars to the max once GT5 first came out, then using the power limiter that was unlocked a few weeks after release to bring the cars more to a stable point. But I'm not here to say no one knows how to build here within GT5, remember it's a game.

I don't know what that is.So basically he called you a wonabe.
Give it a try you may learn something.. Even though I don't max out my cars then de-tune to get them to compete in a locked PP class. All the cars that I tuned too class run at 100% power either with a stage 1,2 or 3 weight reduction has competed on par, above or below. And when I see that some of MY STEPPED tuned cars out running some of these maxed out cars not all just some put a great bid smile on my face. I'm hoping to run into you one day myself.
