I mainly only race with my long time psn friends, so i don't really have any epic GT6 nightmares (yet). But I would like to share last nights frustrating chat problems, specifically the annoying **** you get when youre simply just trying to say something that isn't bad at all.....I was asked how many pits I took, my reply was "13 25 37 49", what showed up on the chat box? "********". Lol ;)

I really dislike kids that ram into you & dont let you drag race... their PSN account should be terminated for that & their actions should be taken as hate towards other players who want to enjoy the game... I understand some times you want to have fun by crashing cars... thats why you can play Need for Speed or Twisted Metal... this is a reason why I dont think they will ever put Bikes with Cars in GT7 because it will give a bad image to PD because people with cars will ram into people with bikes just for the hell of it... maybe they should put a new setting in rooms... I understand accidents** but if someone is just raming into people just to piss them off, they should not be able to be in the clean rooms.

Sorry for the long post.

The past few days I've finally jumped online after finishing everything in GT6. So far I've had a wonderful time in rooms ranging from chill free runs to clean spec-racing rooms and even had a blast in a couple dirty rooms. The one sour spot I've had was in a particular clean room, and the story is as follows. I entered a room for street cars where the PP limit was set to 600 and the tires were unrestricted. I don't like running racing tires on the road cars, but I thought what the heck; there were no other rooms open I was interested in.

The first race was on Le Sarthe with no chicanes. I jumped in my Maserati Gran Turismo, with full weight reduction the horse power leveling off at about 620ish to be legal. The race starts, I get a little tangled in the field but no biggie. We got to Mulsanne and the host storms past me like I'm sitting still at my modest 210mph and just carries on with another guy ahead of me. At the end of the race, I'm 50 seconds behind. The guys started chatting about how they were topping out at 250 with their 800hp. What? I asked how they got so much and they said some cars get more power at the same PP. Great...

The next race was at SSRX. I grabbed the best car I could think of in a pinch, my Citroen GT Road Car. I ran it up to about 240mph and I couldn't keep the thing going in a straight line. Did a quick tune fix and jumped back on to see if it helped. I got to 210mph watching the speedo when I hit this guy in a Mercedes head-on going the wrong way. I typed that I was trying to set up my car, but it was too late and the race started. When we got to the first bend, I instantly lost rear grip like it never existed. Hopeless... The host wanted to run the same track again, so I tried doing another quick fix. This time the guy in the Merc was doing donuts and I couldn't avoid him at speed. I typed a piece of my mind. Another run wasted and the race started. I managed to get through half of the first bend when the rear suddenly decided that it was on ice again.

Anyway, they kept picking tracks with stupid long straights where they have the advantage of knowing which special cars to use, and for some reason I just kept at it and got more and more frustrated when I don't even really care about winning. Something in that room just got to me, kind'a like The Shining if anyone has read that.
The GT by Citroen is really squirrely in this game for some reason. It reminds me of the 02 GT in GT4.

Joins @Scaniabebe in a cop room, Scania is a cop. He pulls over a FT1 as prototypes are not allowed on the road.

I type "a.k.a you just got owned :p" and the FT1 guy leaves and straight away he messages me saying

"🤬 you" I reply "You're welcome!" and block him.

So yeah, that was a thing.

I successfully voted for GT Arena in a "Winner picks PP" lobby and people doesn't like it. When I announce I am responsible for it, someone uses the P-word. I quit from the room - the Daytona Road race was glitchy, btw :indiff:

Daytona Speedway's failed grid start is both frustrating and hilarious. You wait for 10 seconds in pitch black, not knowing what is going to happen. You are supposed to start in 3rd, but you end up a quarter mile ahead of the rest of the grid. Other people end up in completely random spots.

I don't know if this has been fixed yet in a micro-update. I haven't been on my PS3 in a few days.

I gave cop lobbies another chance by joining one and it was fine. People were simply cruising around the track and following the simple rules. The speed limit was 75 and I just took it as an opportunity to just drive my random cars around. Then, disaster struck when one idiot joined and started causing havoc by swerving around each track we drove on. He was also spamming swears. It took at least 5 minutes before the host realized that he had to kick this guy and did so.

I had something negative to say about quitters, but if they don't want to improve their skills, then that's their problem. Anyway, here's a kitty rocking out:

I was in a room the other day and sum scrub doubted the fact that I am indeed a Sloth. Then he said I wasn't lovable and can't drive in a straight line...

Some guy kept sending me friend requests, so I asked him not to politely. He said "No." So I blocked him. I also told him I did so. He then rammed me.

This is a guy I removed from my friendslist after he was being an idiot in a cops room as well, so I guess I should have expected it.

I hate getting friend requests from random people or people say "Yo CallmeDan send me a friend request" when they're about to leave.

"What? I don't know you. I was just drifting my Fiat. Who are you?"
This happens far too much when I play uncharted 3.

Somebody is spamming "ur mom" and I called a vote kick on him. When I told people to do the samewrn the chat, it was I who got kicked out. :irked:

I have an awesome story.

550pp room, RS tires, Nurb Nord, and a room full of people running between 6:25 and 6:45 (first to last).

Dude shows up with 480pp.

The host suggests that this guy upgrade the car to be competitive with the field. To which he replies, and I unfortunately have to paraphase to an extent, "You rely on power while I rely on technique. You base your opinions on ignorance. You're an INTERNET WARRIOR"

My guess is this dude had minimal online experience and expected 550 online to be like 550 offline :)

The rolling double file starts are also hilarious and upsetting at the same time at Daytona. I remember being in a nascar room and half the field was crashing in the tri-oval (some were even in the pits!) and the leaders were already finishing turn 1 when the race started.

My worst moment online was when I was in a CLEAN pp race room one day and I was making an overtake on the room host (who was the leader) on the last lap. The guy rammed me into the barriers and then kicked me after the race. I asked him why and he said that I had tried to pass him. In the same race, I saw other drivers pass him and nothing happened to them. I had never had any problems with him. It just comes to show how some people are just stupid (no offence).

Not my worst but still annoying.

At the Nurburgring in a trackday server with a few guys from a cop room I was just in. Got Zooey out and set out to break the 7-minute barrier.

The lobby was a nicely run thing, and the players all drove cleanly for the most part. But their overtaking etiquette was shocking.

I tried to pass a Subaru, he left little room. I tried to pass a MINI Countryman, yet he also left little room so I was forced on to the grass and spun. After all of this, I repassed them and there was just one car to go. The little straight before the Carusell and I decided to pass him there... But guess what? He left no room AT ALL even though I was much faster and made my intention to pass on the outside clear. I spun and hit him.

After that I had a clear track and all was okay again.

(I got a 6:57.348 by the way. With a bit more time to take off without tyre wear and maybe a little less traffic)

I know how that feels, I too had a track day lobby encounter, I was hot lapping in a LFA trying out different Damper settings, once I found a good setting I set off on a lap.

The first part of the lap was fine, the second was awful, people were in souped up R8s and Enzos and they would park behind the barriers(where marshal's would push or leave a car in Motorsport) and set off after slower cars hitting them, let's just say I was one of them so I got my Nardo out(one of my favourites) and set off after them. Turned out they were targeting a Mini Countryman which my friend was in, he PM'd me saying what was going on so I promptly arrived and barged them out of the way, I saved up my NOS so when they got angry(one shouted on their mic saying "Let's catch this :censored:er) I knew these guys wouldn't be match on acceleration or in the corners due to their lack of skill, I know the Nurburgring very well have done loads of running there before. So needless to say they couldn't catch me and they got bored and left, I got my LFA back out and started driving...Before disconnecting but my friend in the Countryman still soldiered on happily ever after. The end.

I may have been the worse or at least unpleasant online encounter to someone today. Already having disastrous day I was trying to take my mind off the things with some racing at the ring. I was running second battling hard with 2 other driver when the other one bumbed me and I ended up spinning in sand. After that everything just erupted and I used really immature and harsh language. If someone here was racing at that same race I would like to say I am terribly sorry.

"What happens in the Ring, stays in the Ring."

Hey it happens, I've had bad days and I'm pretty sure a good number on here have too ( hence this thread ). Even though I wasn't there, I would happily accept your apology. 👍

Decided to join a Madrid cop lobby.

Driving Zooey (for a change...) and had host right up my backside down the straight. He was in a GTR (R34 I believe it was) so obviously, he wasn't gonna brake as late or turn as fast. I got through the turn and he sped up a lot.

Get to the downhill and see "e21 (THERE IS A DAMNED C_ THERE YOU TWONK) 1/3". Apparently I was doing 160kph. When I was doing 120. I said "My car is faster through the corners is all" or something but he thought he was right so yeah.

(I did decide that 1:23 was a horrid time and took it down to 1:18. I was kicked for it. Worth it though)

Nothing too bad yet, but yesterday I was in a London cruise room, which I did not realise meant British teens yelling "**** this, **** that, ****n c***!!" everyone drifting veyrons at absurd speeds, ramming everyone and typing slurs against Muslims in text chat.
The host had a nice Superbird though.
