Demo out this week for PS3, Vita and 360. http://www.wrcthegame.com/playable-demo-incoming/

A couple other sites I saw reported that the release date is the 25th.👍
Are those seller sites like Amazon? If so I'm surprised that there is still no confirmed release date - and I'm cursing my ISP right now as we will not be getting internet to our new house before a week on Tuesday...so no demo for me until then.

EDIT: looks like Team VVV have done a few vids at last...

Their WRC 4 page with a few new ones including Vita gameplay

Isn't it supposed to be out the 16th? Tomorrow that is.

Edit: From their official website;
09/10/2013 Announcement

This demo coming October 16 on PlayStation Network (PS3 and PS Vita) and Xbox Live will feature the new FIA World Rally Champion[1] SĂ©bastien Ogier with his Volkswagen Polo R WRC at the Rally d’Italia Sardegna. Sardinia has hosted Italy’s FIA World Rally Championship counter since its switch from the mainland in 2004 and the event remains one of the most demanding on the calendar. Although the island’s stages are predominantly fast and narrow, the terrain is a mixture of flat open areas and undulating tracks through woodland with water splashes and spectacular jumps thrown in for good measure. Once the demo is downloaded, the player will have the opportunity to experience this amazing Italian rally event.

[1] * Subject to the official publication of the results by the FIA

As for the release date, wasn't it supposed to be the 28th?

Woho, will download it, If it impresses me I'll probably buy this instead of F1 2013 when I have enough Money.

For me after playing demo of WRC 3 it was must buy. I hope for the same story with WRC 4, it seems like not that much has been improved and WRC 3 is already great game so soon ill play it :)

Exactly the same story here!

Demo is available.

I've played and i can't really tell if i like it. Well graphically it's ok But Gravel stage seems to not showing all the changes that are suppose to happen. I really want to feel tarmac stages and slippery tarmac in Monte Carlo. Also gravel in Finland is what i love it the most in this game.

Still i'm definitely buying this game for hours of fun in On line rallying 👍

Really nice from the demo. Sounds are so much better I can't believe, the 2 stages it gives you look great and the car models, especially in the showroom look superb. Handling feels evolved rather than re written but thats not a bad thing. Combined with the improved career mode and presentation it's a winner.

Also, interesting how they have pretty much carried over everything that MotoGP 2013 was into their WRC games. Menu's, music, presentation, career mode, all pretty much the same. Again not a bad thing at all. In fact it is exactly what I was hoping for.

Totally forgot about this today.

Good to hear. I really liked the overall presentation in the MotoGP 13 demo. Looking forward to give the demo a try tomorrow.

The most surprising thing to me was how much better it looks on your own tele than on youtube, the resolution makes a huge difference. Definate buy for me. (Though I enjoyed WRC 2, so maybe my standards need improving!)

So I drove the first 2 Sardinia stages on WRC3 today for personal comparison. It is actually quite a difference between the 2 games, it's noticeable anyway but when playing them side by side its even more so.

someone else did it too, Finland SS1 from each game:

The demo is pretty good, I liked WRC 3 a lot and 4 is a big improvement, or so it would seem. I hope they've got triple monitor support out of the, er, box this time.

I really love Finland in WRC 3, it allowed to drive with great speed over smooth surfaces, no other country available in WRC offers that.

When i look how Finland stages looks in WRC 4 i can't really tell if its improvement on positive side. It's way much closer to reality stages when you climb and decent, there are uphill and downhill stages. In WRC 3 every corner is visible, ill hope it's going to change in WRC 4 with those new looked stages. 👍

Having played it for a few hours yesterday and finally beaten Loeb at the next highest difficulty, my impressions have so far been quite good. The suspension model felt great, however the tyres grip levels seem to be pretty much the same from what I remember. Sounds are a clear improvment as well, as other have noted. Graphically, it's just a slight step above it predecessor.

Overall, WRC4 looks like a solid game thus far. Although I wonder if there will be Historic and Group B cars this time around too?

Apparently they are missing from the car list at present - which is a shame as those Group Bs were brilliant fun in WRC 3. Speculation is if these will come in via DLC as they did with WRC 1.

I really want WRC 4 to be on Steam, maybe then we'd stand a chance of better PC support and a port of the DLC seeing as it'll almost definitely sell like mad. Compared to how WRC 3 probably sold, anyway. To get my PC download I had to (naughtily) get it from Amazon US, while somewhat paradoxically those in the US couldn't get the console release domestically.

Good news for you. Found a site who is delivering Steam DRM. They send you steam keys. Also got preorder bonus (free WRC 1 and 50% off WRC 3).
A friend of mine shared the link with me through facebook. I'm not sure if sharing the direct store link is allowed. So, you can PM me or search 'Xanatan WRC 4' in google. They are also running 20% discount offer. So, pre-order it.

Hope this helps. :)

Huge frame rate issues on PS3 demo for me. Yes I'm a 60fps head but I can live with 30 stable fps. this looks below 30 fps to me. Almost unplayble. Anyone experiencing the same?

Me too.

Damn am I glad I downloaded this. Flicking through the switchbacks is so good.

no issues on ps3, looks good and plays better. canìt wait for full game. it reminds me of vrally 3 on ps2 in terms of experience. DFGT works very well, didn't however use 900 degrees.

I had no problems either, I've run two stages multiply times without single slow downs.

Must be spam, WRC isn't a Steamworks game.

However, interestingly, searching 'WRC' on Steam returns a WRC 4 announcement trailer... Did they say it was coming to Steam?

That's awesome, thanks for confirming. I hope it sells well for them, then we might get some DLC thrown our way...
