If you could create your own Gran Turismo, what cars, what tracks, what anything would you add to your Gran Turismo?

A GT focused JUST on driving. No Racing. Just normal cars in an open world. One that's bigger than FUEL's. Make it beautiful, too. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Almost like an Alan Wake type of environment. Like somewhere in a forest in Oregon or something. Then a road like PCHW. Then twisties for Mini Coopers, too! :) Just different kinds of environments packed into one huge one. It could get boring after a while, but knowing PD they would make it last forever. :) That, for me, would be the perfect GT game.

YES !!! Another "wish list" :yuck:

No... It's not really. He's not asking what features etc. you want in GT5. He's just asking, if you had the chance to create a GT just for you, what would it be/be in it.

Ill give this thread until tomorrow morning before it is locked.

on topic- (LOL) I want GT5

Thanks "Andrew C" for clearing things up with the guy who posted this,

That really helps other people to. Thanks

Apparently, some people lack an imagination or are just too, well, such words can't be disclosed here.

Moving on, I've had my idea of a perfect driving/racing game for quite some time now and while I called my idea something, for the sake of continuity I'd slap "Gran Turismo" onto it. The idea itself was a bit expansive, but the prime feature was extensive free roaming in real-world locations. It's hard to explain on the interwebz, but I still have the idea itself written up.

Somewhere. :dopey:

^^
If you find it... you should type it up or scan it. As you saw above, I'd be really interested in that kind of game.:dopey:

Sorry..
I hit quote instead of edit...

Ideally, I'd take every car that ever existed in history and then take a satellite picture of the earth and map out every road and race track. I'd have damage on it and the option to have traffic or not depending on your mood. Cockpit view as well. I wanna cruise around my town in a Ferrari FXX. >_>

Edit: And for example, if you damage the front splitter on a speed bump, you have to get it repaired somewhere, which will cost in-game money.

If there was any way of actually doing this (Who knows, 40 or 50 years down the road?) that would seriously just be the best game ever.

I can see the Initial D fans that want this one to come out.

Anyone agree with my environments?---Post #2

Every car ever made..to be able to tune them in every way possible namely engine swaps :)(realistically i dont mean being able to put a stage 27 turbo on a 1915 model t ford though that would be interesting ;).) every track in the world thats on the racing calender and a few old ones (old fuji speedway the ring old de la sarthe etc.) i'd keep a few fictional ones, the livery editor i would have but the track editor i would not because i'd have all the tracks i want anyway. i would have an open world mode for free roaming with unlocked cars. I don't know how many of you have played enthusia but i would unlock cars the way they do and also have that style grid (the car with the most potential to win starts last 2nd starts 5th etc) (if you finish in the top 3 i think the computer randomly selects a car youve beaten to unlock each race or championship.)
As for dlc every month or as soon as it can be done depending on what can be released at any give time for a reasonable price. Long story short my Gran Turismo would be a cross between GT4 and EPR, Sorry for the long a** post but there ya go.

My GT would have every car ever made with damage. With that a large majority of racetracks around the world, with weather changes and time changes(for endurance races.)

My GT will include animals. I would like to hit a deer in the middle of the straight away in Fuji.

I also forgot to mention damage is a given to all cars and also a championship editor.:)

...and then you could get out and put it in the back of your car, then you realize it's not really dead and it gets up and kicks the **** out of your car and bites you in the back of the neck, then when you stop and get out a dog comes along and bites you in the leg, 'cause he wants the deer:

my personal GT would be big with bunch of twisties and tracks in that virtual world, it would be like traveling from south of france over the alps in switzerland towards germany and than to uk, so great roads and tracks with numerous car/tuning shops along the way with licensed products
with DLC it would be possible to get other places in the world, like sicily and its targa florio route, or finland with its fast rally stages or those long long straights in the usa for going 400kph in a veyron

Angeles Crest in California would be awesome!

For me GT is mostly about discovering how these masterpeaces of industrial design handle. I would like game to feature moding tools that community could bring life to GT game after commersial resources are done. Track and model editors, custom races etc. They should really focus more on physics stuff and hire brian beckman or something to perfect it.

It would be dominated by the tuning world 👍

i would make a combo of a testdrive unlimited like enviroment but then with the whole world included. u start with a small garage but u can extend it and u have too walk too the scarpyard for your first ride u can also buy old parts here.

when u get your ride u can drive it too the repairshop, sprayshop tune shop, garage of the make for repairs and service. then u can drive around with it too the shops in the world for new cars or auction houses. so it would get enourmes combine test drive unlimited, google earth (the whole worlds roads track everything) and gt

Good idea with the scrapyard stuff. 👍

-> My GT? Hmmm....

-> I would think everything that is on every wish lists in the GT5 Fourm becomes a reality!

-> Imagine, a Baldwin-Motion Camaro [G1] 540 Super Coupe '69 or Mercedes-Benz 300 CE [W124] 5.6 AMG Hammer coupe '86 strolling down at Las Vegas Strip full course or Manila, Philippines.

Yea that would be pretty cool. Kind of like Test Drive Unlimited really. Just bigger, more cars, and things to find. A FUEL, NFS:UG, TD:U, GT4 mix. That would be the best.

The Real Train Simulator.

How mad would people get if they opened their new pristine copy of Gran Turismo 5 on launch day only to find it had 'The Real Train Simulator' written below Gran Turismo 5.

It seems that Polophony used all their car data to help them creating a train experience like none other.
