I don't remember what my first ps1 game was, but it had to have been a sports game from EA. That was all my friends and I played on Genesis and it just progressed to the newer console.

My very first Playstation game was either Gran Turismo Or Need For Speed 2 or 3:Hot Pursuit.

When I got my PlayStation, I bought Ridge Racer and Fighting Force with it, and it totaled up to $276 and some change. later on in the year, I bought Gran Turismo back in December 97 when it came out in North America. Also bought the following Gran Turismo sequels on their respective release dates.
