Still better than diving fantasy cars. Where’s the real simulation in diving made up cars? Just because we’re all fans of the games doesn’t mean we need to accept mediocrity. Don’t make promises you can’t keep. It makes you look stupid and incompetent. As far as a fun race game with fake cars, Mario Kart 8 has taken that slot. GT7 has to be damn special for me to even consider buying it. As far as I’m concern, Kaz need to get that ego in check

Yeah, I’d say someone has an ego…

I hope Kaz and the team are working on GT7 for the most part, and indications are, that’s PD’s priority right now. The PS3 is downright rusty compared to the systems out now, and GT6 is being held back from what it can be. I’m still racing in it, rather than Forza 4.

Forza 6… I dunno. I’d have to spend more than $800 in order to play it, including a good wheel and at least six months of their “godly” Live. And it looks like a higher res version of Forza 4. I dunno… really don’t feel like feeding the Green Monster…

The cost for PS4 + wheel is the same on both consoles so money isn’t really a deciding factor between the two if you haven’t purchased either wheel or console yet.

Money is not an issue. Quality is. My issue are the promises made but not delivered. Where are the monthly dlc tracks and cars? I have no problem paying for dlc. I bought every dlc for GT5 because i wanted to play new tracks and cars. In addition, Kaz isn’t forth coming about custom tracks. Not to mention all of the buggy updates. Fix a problem and create another one. I can’t remember the last real car that was added and I’m not talking about VGT or that silly Nissan LMP. Seems like every competitor has the latest cars as they come out. So GT7 has to blow me away or else I’m going to skip it.

As long as Forza still has that “ass physics”… all the rain, night, sound, & shinny cars wont help it.

  3. ROFFATI

How do they do that, releasing the 2. racing game exclusive for there next gen console?
While Sony has not yet released GTwhatever?
Guess they they just add a few new cars and tracks, witch they could have put in a dlc and than sell it as a new game.
I don´t know. Played Forza 4 once on 360 at a friends and did not like it. To much fuzz about everything in that game anyway.
Don´t need music and soundeffects in the menus and all that stuff.
I want the menus of gt6 with the graphics of driveclub and the physics and sound of Project Cars.
    But thats just me…

I love how they made the trailer ever so close to the one from GT6! Also I notice that there is night, but does it cycle? I notice there is rain, but does it cycle? I also noticed that the scenery (0:41) is hideous, and if you look at 0:54 and when the car spins out, that was not a very nice looking scene compared to the others. 1:12 so what? We have fireworks too, and lots.
    Overall…Nice try.

Looks nice but here we go with baked in settings again, no dynamic weather or day/night transitions. Just where is this headed? Are there going to be any dirt tracks so we could use rally/trail/hillclimb cars they add with no place to use them? After Project Cars and the announcement for Assetto Corsa both with dynamic weather and day/night transitions, begs the question just what are Turn 10 doing? MS needs to stop 2 year cycle, Forza 6 already and it has barely changed since Forza 3, iterating faster than it can innovate and add things some have been doing since 2010 on inferior tech.
Although to their credit it does look pretty with all that mud and water on the cars but anyone who’s raced in wet weather none of that is actually fun to deal with while trying to use precision in racing. I see lots of online crash fests in rain, I see that now in Forza 5 with folks who can’t drive or are slower and think it’s great to try to block you from passing, well if you like being pressured for the next 3-5 laps be my guest. 24 players online if the clubs don’t return this is going to be a cluster…mark my words.

Looks interesting but i am pretty sure that GT7 for PS4 will be even more, can’t wait fall 2016!

  7. Carl the Sloth

They really need to ditch the baked lighting, Forza would look incredible if it used realistic dynamic lighting.

  8. SpeedyDan

    Forza Rio. :)

Lovely to create and “remix” a few parts from Rio into a race track. But it could have been Interlagos, a real race track. The Favela thing, no good. Frustrating how visitors, love what they don’t understand. But, ignorance is bliss.

  9. omgitsbees

Forza 4 was my favorite game last gen, but Forza 5 was pretty disappointing. Glad to see Forza is back though.

    1. SavageEvil

Why? Forza 6 still sporting baked in lighting, no dynamic day/night changes listed so far and weather is simply rain on certain courses. GT7 hurry and trip up, no take time and clean up the mess from GT6 and leave nothing behind. Dynamic weather and day/night on every course 20+ grid sizes, course creator, more personalized customization, better engine/exhaust sounds, fluid dynamics that work and don’t forget some cars. nah, I say take their time.
Forza 6 hasn’t hit the stores yet and it’s already lacking in light of Project Cars, only thing Forza 6 has is car count and custom tuning and visual upgrading. Everyone has a high bar when it comes to depth that Project Cars has though, pretty exterior means nothing if what’s beneath isn’t working to make the simulation as realistic as possible. Project Cars is the one to beat without a doubt.

    2. mikdre

They need to hurry up because at this point Atari is going to release a better Sim racer than they have. Just sayn.

    3. Johnnypenso

Not everyone is concerned with day/night cycles or baked lighting and a host of other things. Just like in GT a lot of people aren’t concerned with the crappy AI, horrible career mode and terrible game economy. The appeal of a pretty looking game that runs smoothly, and has lots of customization, lots of cars, and is easy to pick up and play is pretty high. The game doesn’t have excel in all areas, just the ones it chooses to focus on. Sometimes focusing on too much, leads to mediocrity and disappointment, inconsistent visuals and gameplay.

Looks pretty good so far. Lets see how long it takes for gulf livery ford gt’s to start being posted all over the photo mode forum

    1. disinfected

Did they really step it up? Looks like more of the same.

I’m sure I’ll buy it and enjoy it but it just looks like same old Forza.

  11. Broda

Ugh… love the juxtaposition of driving million dollar cars through the fevellas in Brazil…

That preview was so not impressive.

  12. Lambob

will there be a GT7 by year’s end shortly after FM6?
or will we have to wait until FM7 is out?

tempting, but from a sim perspective, I don’t feel like buying another wheel just for Xbone.
