Forza Motorsport 6 Garage: Lots of Muscle, Led by One

1970-Mercury-Cougar-Eliminator

Throw up your hands, and raise your voice! This week’s Forza Garage is Lyle Lanley-approved: while the Briggs Automotive Company’s first road car might just be called Mono, by all accounts, it certainly corners like it’s on a rail. The Mono is but one car in an update Turn 10 is dubbing American Muscle week, joining a handful of other non-American cars that were confirmed via a leak of FM6’s Achievement list yesterday. Yes, your eyes do not deceive you: that is a 2015 Lotus F1 car in the list, along with a 2015 V8 Supercar Falcon, the bonkers Group B Metro 6R4, and the Fiat 8V Supersonic (the pretty standout from this month’s Horizon 2 DLC).

1969-Dodge-Charger-Daytona-HEMI

Speaking of that Horizon 2 pack, here’s another vehicle featured in there: the 1969 Charger Daytona HEMI. Built to get Dodge back in front in NASCAR, the aero kit on the Daytona lowered the car’s drag coefficient to only 0.28, a figure that’s commendable even today. Paired with that massive engine, it helped the Dodge crew become the first to hit the double-tonne, the magical 200 mph mark, on the track. While only 505 were built for homologation purposes, you don’t have to worry about such rarity in a game.

The Cougar Eliminator is another gem from the muscle car era. In Forza 6, we’ll be getting the 1970 model, complete with 428 Super Cobra Jet engine. While it’s far removed from the cool, understated looks of the regular model, the Eliminator does announce to any cars in front (or, more likely, behind) that it means business, with a sizeable rear spoiler, function ram-air hood intake, and outrageous colour combinations. It’s also got some of the coolest hidden headlights the industry has ever seen. That’s gotta count for something, right?

Joining the Mono, Charger, and Cougar, are these other 33 vehicles:

  • 2015 Ford #17 XBox Racing Ford Falcon FG X

I’m getting this game’s Ultimate Edition this September 1st.

I’m eager to test those rain physics and to go into the classic car era career path.

The only thing that I consider a minus is a lot of car repeats from Forza 5/Horizon 2 and those guys from TopGear who like to brand people who like cars that start in D-Class as “Hipsters” like in the D-Class opening cutscene… Not a fan of them, even less because of that… unless they got paid to say that.

FM6 car list IS my GT car wish list. Unfortunately, wheel support is the one thing keeping me from getting an XBone.
