If you’ve ever taken a look at photos of Gran Turismo 5’s real-world locations, you were surely impressed by the accuracy of the game’s city environments. When Russian ad agency SmartNewSolutions was tasked by Sony to create a banner ad for GT5, they wisely chose to highlight this trait in a 300×600 banner ad using Google Street View.
Though it’s not quite as cool in practice as the concept, it’s still fun to play around with. Watch the video above to see how it works, or better yet, give it a go for yourself (on a possibly NSFW page) right here.

GT5 isn’t boring at all. Overall, GT5 is is better compare to Shift 2. I’m a fan of Granturismo and Needforspeed for 11 years now and it is good as well to have some varieties of games to compare. They are both good but in different dimensions. At some point, NFS games are interesting and exciting too when it comes to car tuning, etc but when it comes to the realism “driving physics” GT5 is still on the top because i felt like Shift 2 lack some Force feedback on the wheel but I like how the “helmet cam” affects the driving physics of cars :)
Actually, I have Shift 2 now and I think the feeling of the inside car is better. you can feel adrenaline while driving and drifting is cool too. But graphics wise, GT5 is better. :)
I just got back from my honeymoon in Rome, it was really fun driving in GT5 and comparing to the actual thing, my wife was quite impressed.

this is unrelated but i just wnt evryone to no gran-turismo.com pretty much tells u wen a big updates coming on 7 out of the 8 updates its said maintness notice around 12 hours before updates they didn,t on 1.08 thou cus there wasn,t much to update but if 1.09 is as big as i think it is then chek there site to know if its about to come sorry for going off subject btw. i just wanted to let evryone know

I lost interest quickly in GT5, but I’ll never lose interest in iRacing, THE racing simulator… At least for PC owners.

Anyone who has actually played iRacing knows the price is well worth it. If they don’t then they’ve had a lobotomy and I truly feel sorry for them. I feel like I’ve had this arguement with you before actually. :S

I wish we could have a free roam mode. Sometimes I just get bored of racing and need some free roam. Just drive my Evo 6 around Dunsfol, like give us a free roam range of 15 mile radius within a race track or something
