The latest new Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges are going live around the world, updating as Friday morning arrives in your local time zone, and it’s looking like a particularly lucrative week.
A bonus mode for players who’ve completed the GT Cafe career, Weekly Challenges consist of five races that update at midnight every Friday morning. Four of the races come from the existing events in “World Circuits”, while there’s also a fifth “Special Event” that appears only in that week (sadly). There’s bonus rewards for completing them in the week’s window, increasing in value the more you check off.
While there’s usually a spread of race lengths, difficulties, and rewards, we’re actually looking at a pretty high-value set this week as no event pays out less than 47,000cr for the win. That comes in the Jimny Cup, an unlock-required Bonus Menu Book series for the Jimny JC and XC duo. You can use either car in any state of tune for the quick, three-lap race of Grand Valley South.
The next two events share a winner’s prize of 65,000cr and a venue, with both taking place at the fictional, fan favorite High Speed Ring. We’ll deal with the Schwarzwald League race first, which is a five-lap run of the reverse circuit for German cars at no more than 700PP; watch out for a late charge from one of the Porsches.
This week’s Special Event is the other, with entry limited to roadgoing Nissan Skyline GT-R models along with the two NISMO cars — the 400R and the recently added Z-Tune — reminiscent of the old “Race of Red Emblem” from previous titles. There’s no limit to tuning in this six-lap race on the regular circuit, but something in the 600-650PP range should be plenty to take the win.

You’ll need a Vision Gran Turismo car next, for the eponymous series which also requires unlocking post-Menu Book 39. We’d recommend something with decent straight-line pace and brakes for this five-lapper at the Temple of Speed, Monza. There’s an 850PP cap too, and 85,000cr for winning the race.
This week’s final event comes in the Super Formula series — another that requires unlocking — at the rarely used Circuit de Sainte-Croix’s B course. It’s a bit of a monster, at ten laps of this pretty lengthy track, with both SF19 and SF23 cars with either engine eligible. Don’t forget to have a button mapped for the “overtake” boost feature if you want the 160,000cr reward for victory.
We have a bonus prize in this week’s set that’s never been seen in a regular week before, though all three rewards are credit tickets that you’ll need to redeem to earn the cash. Clearing any one race earns a 100,000cr ticket, while completing any three gifts a 200,000cr ticket. Finish the set and you’ll land that 750,000cr ticket, making this the highest-earning set of Weekly Challenges ever besides holiday-period events; it won’t be a good week to be hit by the reward glitch…
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday August 15.
