Following on from the early update to the game yesterday, the Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges continue as usual and bring some of the new content added in 1.63 into the mix.
Weekly Challenges are effectively a bonus game mode for players who’ve finished the core GT Cafe career and are looking to mop up the events to hit 100% in their dashboard. They become available once you’ve completed the GT Cafe career and currently comprise five events each week — updating as midnight arrives on Friday morning in your local time zone — though there may be some changes come December.
Four of these are drawn from existing World Circuits races, with a fifth “special event” created just for the week, and there’s additional rewards atop the usual race finish prizes for completing them during the one-week window. You can find the events in a special, green box in the World Map, World Circuits and individual track selections.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges – September Week 4 Races
Sunday Cup – Kyoto Driving Park
The entry-level this race is in the simplest event series in the game and at the most basic track, as the Sunday Cup heads to Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi. You can use any Road Car for the four-lap race around this dented-egg of a circuit — the game recommends a Performance Point value of 380PP for a fair race — to collect 20,000cr for your win.
Special Event – Fishermans Ranch
You wait ages for an off-road race and then two come along at once. It’s the second week in a row that we’re visiting Fishermans Ranch for a one-lap event, but this week it’s the Special Event slot. The star of the show is the new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40V ’74 — for which you’ll need to buy Dirt Tires — and we’d recommend at least a gearbox tweak as it’s going to be tough to do it in the stock car if you want the 40,000cr for winning the race.
American Clubman Cup 700 – Watkins Glen
You’re going to need a Road or Tuned Car from America (the latter of which encompasses the SEMA cars) for the next race, in the American Clubman Cup 700. That “700” notation is just a suggested PP value, so you can tune however you wish for the five-lap race of the Watkins Glen Long Course. Bear in mind that the reward is just 70,000cr though, which could well be offset by an expensive setup.
World Rally Challenge Gr.B – Eiger Nordwand
One of two six-figure reward events this week awaits next, in the World Rally Challenge Gr.B event. This one takes place on the solid surface of Eiger Nordwand’s Reverse course, and will require you to use a Gr.B car with Racing Tires of any type fitted. Watch out for that downhill kink that can spit you into the pit lane — though the high tire wear and fuel consumption in the 12-lap race may require one deliberate visit — as you chase the 135,000cr prize for victory.
World Touring Car 700 – Alsace
One of the new races introduced in 1.63 is up in the final slot, with Alsace Village the host for the traditional WTC finisher, this time in the World Touring Car 700. You’ll can use any car of any kind so long as it’s fitted with a Racing Tire of some flavor and doesn’t exceed 700PP for this ten-lap race. Again, high consumption rates might play a role here — and the pit lane is a bit awkward — so that 250,000cr bump for winning could be on the tricky side.

For this week’s bonuses we’re back to the all-credit rewards, comprising three Tickets that you’ll need to redeem from your Garage’s Gifts to claim.
Finishing any one race gifts a 100,000cr ticket, completing any three awards a 200,000cr, and there’s the regular 500,000cr ticket for finishing the set. With clean race bonuses that’d mean just over 1.5m credits available this week for a single pass.
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday October 2.
