GT Sport Daily Races: Keep Fit in Tokyo and Go Nuts in Brazil

There’s a new set of three races for you to take part in this week, with a first appearance for some of the latest game content.

Race A moves back to slower fare this week, with the new Honda Fit Hybrid. You’re not going to be breaking many speed records (or even speed limits) with the 138hp petrol-electric motor around the Central Inner Loop of Tokyo Expressway. However the four-lap race should be good for those who love preservation of momentum. And penalties.

It’s more standard fare in the other two races, but they’ll be good for FIA-Certified Online Championship race training. Both head to familiar tracks, and both use the core racing cars that Polyphony Digital built GT Sport around initially.

The sprint race, using Gr.4 race cars, heads to Interlagos. You can choose from any of the cars you have in your garage — although the Lamborghini Huracan seems to be the form choice right now — for this four-lap race on race hard tires.

Kyoto hosts the longer race, at the combined Yamagiwa/Miyabi complex. You’ll actually use the reverse track, with Yamagiwa the wrong way round and Miyabi the right way, for an eight-lap race in your Gr.3 cars. Tire wear is set at 13x, which may prove punishing on the track’s long, fast, right-handed corners.

All three races will run through to Monday, May 13.
