GT Sport Daily Races: Sardinia Speed, Bathurst Brawl, and a Beat Down

This week’s Daily Races are something of a mixed bag, but there should be a little something for everyone.

Speed fiends are well catered for in Race C, as the action heads to the new Sardegna Road Track venue. You’ll be racing the B variant this week, with the long main straight, and any Gr.3 car of your choice. It’s a 15 lap race, and although the tire wear is a little higher at 7x normal rate, all cars will use Racing Hard compounds and pit tactics ought not to play a major role.

Things get a bit more technical at Race B. Again it’s race cars, and a free choice thereof, but the slower, production-based Gr.4 cars. Australia’s Mount Panorama — or Bathurst — plays host to three laps of sprint race action. It should be full throttle across the top of the mountain, and with no place to pass safely you may want to pay respects to your SR rating which is likely to plummet faster than the Conrod Straight.

If you love slow stuff, Race A will be your home for the week. That takes the form of a three-lap race around the reverse version of Kyoto Driving Park’s Yamagiwa layout. Your steed for the race is a 1991 Honda Beat, which usually sports 63hp but gets a 193% boost to 121hp for this race. There’s a 127% weight setting too, and a grid start just to make things trickier.

All three races will run through to Monday, November 25, when another new set of three will replace them.
