GT Sport Daily Races: Racing Point

The latest set of Gran Turismo Sport Daily Races is now available, and they have a distinctly race-ready feel for the week. Each of the events features race cars, getting quicker across the three options available.

That starts off with Gr.4 machines in Race A. These cars are very closely related to road cars, being just about stripped-out vehicles fresh out of the showroom — with the vaguest of nods towards aerodynamics and race-grade components.

It’s the traditional four-car mix and match race this week, with players able to choose one from the four front-wheel drive Gr.4 cars for the seven-lap race of Autodrome Lago Maggiore’s short Center layout in the reverse direction. You can pick from the Audi TT, Peugeot RCZ, Renault Megane, and Volkswagen Scirocco for the race.

Race B heads out to the real-world circuit of Willow Springs, and the famous Big Willow layout. It’s a five-lap race, and you can pick from any of your garage Gr.3 cars for the event. This class is broadly equivalent to the real GT3, featuring exclusively rear-wheel drive cars.

This week’s Race C puts you into the fastest tin-tops in the world, with the Gr.2 cars. It’s a small group of six cars, featuring Super GT machinery from two eras: one car each from Honda, Lexus, and Nissan, in each of the 2008 and 2016 specifications.

The 14-lap race of the fictional Sardegna Road Track B circuit features a tire wear multiplier of 6x, so that each lap feels like six laps for your rubber. There’s also a mandatory tire requirement to be aware of; players must use each of the Racing Soft and Racing Medium tire grades during the race or face a one-minute post-race time penalty. There’ll be plenty of interesting strategy calls!

These three races will run through to Monday August 23, when another set will replace them.

It’s funny this troll got under the skin of people here with all the dislikes. But the reality is he won ! LOL

I think they should always have at least one race around a shorter circuit with slower cars, like a couple weeks ago with the minis. I think it’s nice for those who don’t want to just do fast racing cars and a slower easier to drive car that’s still fun racing.

Not enough corners or bends another week of no skilled tracks. If I wanted to drive these might as well play Arcade Nascar.

Well, the Nordschleife is the best track to drive on. That doesn’t mean all other tracks are bad. All 3 of these are actually really good tracks, so I dunno what that dude’s on about.

Nordschliefe is just one of many tracks with lots of corners. And actually I'd say it's not one of the best to race on. Autopolis and Suzuka are never boring

At least there’s no monza this week. And at least high speed ring never made it into GT Sport
